Going to try my hand at a tree grow, this go round. She's getting flipped next Friday. Any body want to bet how much she'll end up yielding?
If I'm right do I get some. I would guess 4 oz, I'm used to the greenhouse now though where a tree is 12ft high and 10 Ft around.
Flip date is Dec. 20. I took her around 9 weeks last time, but I didn't get to sample much myself. Got lots of compliments so I'm going to take her a full 9 weeks again.
If you ran that size in hydro, you'd pull atleast 8-10oz from that girl, in soil...maybe 5 gotta weigh your options within bulb size/electricity used VS. yield/return if your in it for the gains, then soil is NOT worth it by any means Plant looks damn good tho:good job:
Not in soil bro, I run chow mix. 50/50 coco and grow rocks.. Faster growth than soil, but still get some organic aspects that a good soil grow will give. Growing this way is closer to growing in hydro as far as growth speed and structure than in dirt.
Many variables there...but my guess is 6oz. Check out my thread nuggnesters paradise. My first couple grows were huge ass trees
Yea, seems like I'm the only coco grower here. Not the first time I've been talked out of soil. :roffl:
Tired of you punks talking about how much more you can get out of soil. :flipando: I might just try it. :bravo: Looks good Jugg. Do whatcha do. CC you and I have an appt for a starter bucket system to go along with my soil plants so I can have a side by side comparison. Ideas? Coincidentally I have all my plants except for one in 3 gallon soil bags. The other is in a solo cup with some perlite. So it would be a good experiment for everyone to see. What is the LEAST amount of money I have to spend on a hydro bucket system. Or what's the least/most efficient way to pull 30% more as you so eloquently say.
I need another 5-10days to VEG to atleast 12inch tall and get a good rootbase. my bucket ebb n flow thing cost me $2.89 per bucket (4)....I had the lil pump (185gph) and the fittings already, so Im only into it for about $15...but if u had to buy it all, maybe like $30 if u had to do a soil plant like that, you'd need a $22-25 bag of foxfarm, bucket and some stakes.
I tried trees in 5 gal buckets... But with s 600 I didn't get the penetration from the the light that was needed. So all the lower growth was useless.
Hempy may or may not be cheaper, but I'll stick with coco. There are guys who have used the same coco for over 2 years. I'm pretty sure that beats hempy cost any day.
I haven't updated, lost the damn sd card for my camera. Flipped her Thurs night, so I'm looking at about 7.5 weeks till harvest.
Day 15. The plant I posted originally is the front plant in the picture. She stretched about 10 inches and done. I'm putting my guess in at half a pound.
