but such a thing! Yesterday I was upstairs in my man cave when I looked out the window and saw two large 6 point bucks eating a cedar tree that is about 20 feet from my house. Ran downstairs yelling to my kids and wife to come look and we all oooed and ahhhhed for about 30 seconds, until they got bored (nothing compared to National Geographic channel) until I noticed two more deer, these spike horns. Then a big buck and little spike horn started to wrestle with their antlers and I was like this is to much, and started to tape them. They wrestled, locked antlers, pushed each other around, and sort of play fought for 45 seconds or so, with the snow blowing all around them. I was standing next to a window in the house on the ground floor, and the deer weren't more than 30 feet away from me. It was light out and dark in the house and they apparently could't see me. Eventually they stopped, and walked away. I stopped filming and went to replay but…..no file! WTF??? I must not have pushed RECORD!!!! All I got was this - the one to the left is a 6 pointer, and the one to the right is a 4 pointer, but really just a spike horn. Probably 3 year old. :BangHead: I've never seen bucks in daylight like that, let alone 4 of them. I have hunted quite a bit and never seen anything like this, except on TV. ANd I missed it.
I have seen tons of deer in my yard at night but never during the day for some reason. One night I pulled up my driveway and seen about six to ten just slowly walking through along the tree line. When I tried to open my car door quietly and get a better look they all bolted into the forest.
Cool, gotta love those special moments with nature. I was walking home from the bar down the middle of a small residential street in my hometown during a serious blizzard at 2 am or so and a big deer (buck, I think) ran towards me from a few blocks down and kept going, ran right past me a meter or so to the left as I stood there. That's my church. asssit:
We should all be that lucky to get that close to a group of deer. That is an awesome front yard you have there! Great view. I liked how at about 1:30 in you can see another group of deer running toward the wife(?) to get their snack. Peace....
