Im trying to stop smoking. Since the New Year iv stopped smoking "Butts" (i say Butts cos when i said "Iv went from 20+ 'Fags' a day to 7 roll ups" on my FB ,Headcase/Bud cracked a joke about me having a sore ass! Even though saying "Iv went from 20 butts a day to 7 roll ups" to me sounds equally as gay!:tvlaugh: Anyways iv been a hardcore smoker for too long,several weeks back i noticed when my kid was in my room and the sun was shining through the curtains,just how much fuckin smoke was actually in the room and i gave me food for thought. That and the fact my son keeps looking at the pictures on the fag packets and asking me what it is and when i tell him "oh thats the lungs of a smker and thats a non smoker" his reply is "so why do you smoke then Dad?". Hes kinda shamed me into giving up cos how the fuck can i teach him right from wrong and advise him not to do stuff if im doing the very thing im telling him not to do yanno? Anyways as part of this process iv had to almost stop smoking weed. Iv not had a spliff in 4 days and as for the fags iv stopped them but im still smoking the odd roll up which is big thing cos i smoked 20+ fags a day and now im only smoking 6 or 7 roll ups a day. My plan is to wean myself down and then off them so this means weed needs to take a back seat for a few weeks. Iv got to say this though and i wont get much love from the weed community for saying it but..... Im a hell of a lot more productive when im not smoking weed!!! I never thought id say that but from big things to small things im doing ALL the shit i wanna do and i cant help but think not smoking weed is a big part of the reason? Any of you guys ever notice when you give up weed for a while that you tend to get more shit done

I used to only do one spliff a night and in the last several months i kinda fell back into my 5-6 joints a night kinda intake. Im gonna try get back to the one spliff a night routine again. But i need to conquer this smoking first:sad4:

I have to regulate how I smoke now for Leo, but I am just as productive, or none productive, on weed as not. I've had the smoke thing happen to me too though! Luckily this house is big enough I don't have to worry about Leo inhaling anything, but I certainly stopped for a second when I saw that cloud in the dining room!
With the whole recovering alcoholic thing, I am not even attempting to give up cigarettes until a year of sobriety at least.
We go outside on the porch to smoke. Never indoors. Wife made that a hard fast rule from the first kid.
LOL the stoners seemed to have missed the point but yes ta...... not smoking makes you 10x more productive! I can only do meanial tasks when high. washing, hoovering and shit. even thats a chour sometimes. i only smoke about 4 or 5 times a week at the end of the day. except sundays! thats different!
Idk really hit or miss with me. Depends on what I need to do, want to do and how much I've already done. If I need to clean up around the house I'm more productive blazed because I will zone out and clean that mofo good. Though that being said I also learned to stay clear of distractions once starting a task, i.e. the damn computer. LOL Now if I'm trying to figure something out or writing a procedure I choose not to smoke or only a hit or so, because otherwise I will get ahead of myself and will be typing out words faster in my head than I actually am. To avoid as much proofreading and editing because I hate doing it and have a tendency to just skim through everything I wrote instead of actually reading it, so I refrain from that. If I'm working on motorcycles it helps keep me from getting pissed off at the little things that sometimes delay getting an easy job done, like a seized bolt or a sheared bolt. Now what REALLY bogs me down is if I drink and smoke. LOL Because I don't like pussy beer and will not buy anything less than 8%, or primarily liquor. Whiskey and vodka are my thing if I'm going to drink maybe some scotch or gin depending on the mood. Got on a mooshine kick for a while and was making my own apple pie that was 60 proof and delicious. That shit is evil. LMAO

I'm starting another round just for the fuck of it. I drink to much during the winter and it's time to get those abs back for my bikini this spring I just need to stop smoking
Man and that P90X and insanity are no joke man. I just did the regular P90X, for a little while just to lose some weight man and holy shit! I went from almost 190lbs and 22% body fat to 135 and 7% in no time. Changed up my diet for a bit stopped gorging when high. Actually I would go for a 4 mile jog about 2-3 times a week then do at least one P90X work out. There were times I would double up, or do two and then the ab ripper. Man for the first couple of weeks it was brutal, I would smoke just so I could stand the thought of food afterwards. Though by the first month I was able to get through each one of the first set of routines none stop. With in about a 2 month period I lost all that weight. Been so busy with the house and everything else that fell off for the past two years. But about to start it back up. Right now I'm at 150, not sure body fat % but probably anywhere from 10-14% just a guess. So Just need to bust ass get back to where I want to be and now that things aren't so hectic besides work should be able to do small stuff throughout the week to maintain no problem. Either way for 2 years off of a 2 month workout after nothing for about 5-8 years not bad to have only gained 15lbs and I've been eating horrible. That series will kick start your metabolism. :thumbsup:
I'm the exact opposite, my gung-ho for doing menial stuff is next to zero without a couple of puffs. I'll still do it of course but, not with my usual zeal.. Also, my intolerance of idiots goes through the roof when I haven't smoked. So, I might put off that trip to the post office or grocery until I'm in a better mood. Yeah and ciggies in the house is a definite not. A few smokes in the bandroom/ garage is OK but, the living room, bedrooms or kitchen??? Ah.hells.no.
P90X is no joke, if you follow the diet you will get cut as hell and drop weight like no other. Just the exercise is enough to offset any shitty lifestyle choices. IT took me weeks to be able to all of the ab ripper right after the normal workout. PD....yea I have to smoke sometimes just to deal with the idiots. I figure having red eyes is better than having an assault charge
We stopped smoking back in Oct of last year, the first couple weeks was pretty hectic to be sure, but we always smoked blounts so We are pretty sure that some of the withdrawals were from the tobacco itself. We hit a bowl or two during that time because the nerves were pretty fried but now We are good to go and not sure if and when we will start back. Right now we have 9 jars and are seriously considering throwing them out. If we do start again, it will probably be better to grow some fresh stuff. And we surely wont smoke blounts if we do. Cant say we feel better for not smoking, it was just a habit, get up, go smoke a joint, eat breakfast, go smoke a joint, watch a movie, go smoke a joint, had to plan out of town trips around hotels where we could smoke, riding down the road smoking and looking for LEO at every curve, get ready to fuck go smoke a joint, get through fucking, go smoke a joint. It had become so much of a way of life that We are not sure we were even getting high !! Well you guys know what I mean. Not bashing weed at all here, just posting our experiences.

I drink beer but never beer thats under 6% (which apart form the alcoholic shit limits me to either San Miguel or Desperado for a decent beer). OR in my lounge if Callum in bed but even then i usually hang out the window etc. Skuzz- When im stoned all i wanna do is roll spliffs with tunes on while i play PS3 or sit on laptop. Iv been getting a lot of shit done recently. Booked some new driving lessons,gonna see if i can get driving again. Back at work on monday too and im on top of everything else. It could just be cos its a new year and all that but i cant help think that not toking or smoking has made me more active. Iv been doing my cardio workouts daily and my push ups n shit,getting ready for this gym in the next month. Rest assured... i'll be back on the weed in a week or so. Smart move.:thumbs-up: Like any habit, toking can get to be more burdensome than enjoyable. Somebody said it really well once, wish I could remember who. When you stop doing the things you used to get stoned to make better and just get stoned....then you got's a problem.
p90x is a home work out that all you need is a pull up bar and couple of dumbbells. Shit works, I used to be in the gym all the time, well got tired of the company in the gym so to speak and checked it out. Even going from the gym to it, it kicked my ass for a few weeks but after a couple months every muscle was tight and bulging. Tones the shit out of you but it doesn't really make you get bigger. Youtube it, I know they have the ab part on there. You can download the workout sheets from beachbody.com or google p90x workout sheets and it has the exercises to do and in what order. Takes just over 1 hour a day to do but results are awesome specially for such a short time.
