Did some rearranging. got rid of the slow just wasting space plants in the 3rd tub that were hit so hard with root rot. Which only came to about an 1oz and some hash. Rest of the plants are looking fine and should make up for it. Other than some issue with pH due to these damn canna nutes. Heads up guys if you want to use RO water or have to because you use a water softner and can't get a hold of potassium chloride pellets instead of sodium chloride like me... Use advanced nutrients. AN is designed for RO water. If you use tap use Canna. Canna is designed for tap apparently and doesn't buffer well with RO water. Kept having pH drifting up to 6.4 or so. Finally figure out that if I'm using canna in RO I need to be using Cal mag plus and also setting my pH to 5.5 first, well after letting the nutrients equilibriate for 1 hour. Which according to canna is not needed if using tap water, the pHing that is. IDK, I'll see this next round after these girls finish up. I was under the impression it was just as easy and user friendly and brainless as AN. LOL So just monitored, took notes, and tinkered a little as needed. So far main observations of using Canna vs Advanced sensi 2 part, which are both supposed to be pH self regulated. AN I used to the T to the bottle instructions, in coco though. Beautiful results with minimal effort or head scratching. Actually none. Same with the vegging in DWC. As soon as I started using the canna Mg defs started coming in and I supplemented a little. Which then came back again a little earlier than I'd like to see it rear it's head. Mixing per instructions I was getting some slight burn, so had to adjust the mix down,currently running around 8ml/gal and coming in total around 850ppm. Other than that only issue was pH drifting up. Until I went to add the PK 13/14, even at a lower dosage I only used 2ml/gal. Now 2 of the 4 plants are showing Ca def now. I've come to the conclusion that cannazym does more bad than good. I think I will only use it to soak hydroton in for enzymatic digestion prior to cleaning and re-use. Seemed roots were in the best health when I used less of it. Rhizo seems to really to it's job, but too much cannazym and it seems to really negate the effects of rhizo. So next round.... Will be using cal mag from the start and adjusting pH to 5.5 after 1 hr and see how it plays out. No cannazym. Just the base and rhizo, with cal mag, and H202. I always end up with 10-15 more clones than I need and I have the hardest time deciding whether to cram them in or toss them. The ones I do toss I go back to a couple hours later and wonder if I did the right thing. I have really enjoyed watching this grow with the tubs. Well with the leds too but I know I'll probably never use leds. Also, I saw alien ass AND boobs.
LOL Yeah I usually have extra but not this many extra. So I have 4 still in DWX, 4 in solo cups in flower now, 20 recently transplanted clones starting to veg, 21 more clones rooting, 5 seedlings, and 8 moms. Just going to go ahead and throw two, the sour diesel and i believe glassslipper either tonight or tomorrow. I will be putting them in their DWC homes and starting to veg. 12 hours under the flower lamps and 12 under lower wattage LEDs. Probably just like 30-40 watts. Probably do that for about two weeks before just leaving in the flower room. Then will be moving the 4 other moms into buckets in a couple weeks. Then move 8-12 more solo cups in around the same time. Might move 6 in here some time this week then the rest in a couple weeks when the others come out.Couple of pics of a small portion of the QWISO I made. Got a 1/4 of that so it's alright. I'll take it! Need to get me a new tube for BHO or try my hand at some other "solventless" extracts, even though people fail to remember water and CO2 are also solvents... LOL :roffl: Anyways. This is like some fruit roll up shit. Just 1 minute shake in cold 91% iso. If you dry outside or with exposed UV light you will get some red coloration in it. Texture is all about the timing of the initial scrape. Then working it then allowing to dry and purge longer. If you work it over the time of the dry for about a week, it turns out like a fruit roll up but not as pliable. Not even a single red hair and trichs are still ramping up. Compared one of the chunky d colas to a 1 litre water bottle. Alright. Kinda pissed right now. I transplanted a TD and SD into another tub last week. Temps have been fine. No root rot. Then all the sudden BAM!!!! The fucking DWC nightmare, the dreaded "white slime". So YAY fucking bacterial infection now. And since this is aerobic it's either due to the new hydroton, that I washed thoroughly, or due to the use of the 30% h202. Nothing growing off the water culture from the remainder of the bag though. Those are the only two things I've changed, other than removing canazyme. Might even just be the rhizo since i'm using it with no canazyme, and it's algal based and this appears to be cyanobacteria. Though now that it's here if I add canazyme I would just be feeding it. Worst part is now that this bullshit is here and I can't get a hold of physan 20 for about a week I'm just going to have to clean them off and trasnplant into coco and add some great white benies. Shit can be almost impossible to get rid of. Really about to say fuck these damn canna nutes and go back to sensi 2 part base or GH. fucking retarded. Like experience in the past not impressed what-so-ever in canna nutes. more headaches and bullshit than anything I've ever used. Think after the other two buckets are done. Going to sit down design a new water chiller and do some testing then just do a table or aero. Makes no sense got a space I help maintain for a buddy with 4-4x8 tables and not a single problem in over 200 gals of water, not even an issue with the aero cloners. Only difference is AN vs Canna and hydroton. Yet 3 dwc 7.5 gal buckets with 5gal solution fucking nightmare. :BangHead::redbong: Bleach and clean everything every single week. Hell noticed the slime yeaterday. Used a freshly cleaned tub. Had already rinsed the roots good with plain water then also with h202 and water, then again with plain water. Everything gone looking white and healthy. made up all new nutes in the new cleaned res. Check today and it's even worse than yesterday before the res flush. Mainly because it sterilized everything else and killed all the others except these bastards. Or I'll just quit wasting lots of water and extra nutes, not have to keep the ac so cranked to help with res temps and just stick to coco for my small space. Want to stay hydro but we will see. Because with this one it's supposed to be a painless easy setup. for the rant. Just really bummed. I wasn't impressed with canna in the past, though none of these issues. Then after using AN on two buddies recommendations from their experience I tried it and liked it. Though all I heard was a bunch of negative things. Everywhere too. So seeing as Canna re-did their line and it too was now pH perfect figured I'd give it another whirl. What's funny is all I heard is what shit AN is and how good canna is yet all I'm seeing and experiencing is the exact opposite. Wish I could find a detailed list of ingredients of the canna so I could compare strictly content. I'm thinking canna is lacking some. Either way about 1 week on 2-3 of the plants and the chunky D I have no clue. Looks like maybe 3 more weeks. Though I might chop early at two, just depends.
Wow - kindof makes me happy I use dirt but I feel bad for you!! Are you going to loose the run or can these be saved? Makes me very nervous about changing anything with my nutes (and soil). Good luck......
Well I transplanted the new sd and td into coco after that rant. Lol cleaned them up then let them dry out some, watered and just now gave them some great white. Should be fine. I cut the older sd because it's ready. Chunky still going. Jamaican d and sweet tooth come down next week. Doubt i hit my goal. Hopefully this sd weighs about 2. Hoping for around 10oz still. Looks like should still get about 7 just off chunky d and Jamaican d. Then looks like 3-4 total everything else. idk Just visual estimations. Well see. So far just 1oz of sweet tooth that came down early.
