Hello growing friends! I was just gifted a plant from a friend of a friend (who was also gifted this plant...) Gifted to this person on Mother's Day, person didn't know what to do with it, so it's been sitting in a window ever since.... The pot says LSD and either a Z or a 2. Looks healthy enough, but here's the weird thing.... This thing has been in a window, subjected to light/dark. Looking at the leaves/nodes/etc/all that, it looks like it's been sitting in a veg tent forever. No signs of flower, no balls, nada. Could it still be in veg state, after almost 2 months of sitting in a windowsill? If it were exposed to a small amount of light throughout the night (TV, nightlight, computer screen??) would that prevent it from starting the flower cycle? I put it in my veg room (after checking for bugs, etc) so what should my next step be, ya think? I read up on that strain, and if it IS the LSD strain, I would be a VERY happy girl!
The weird thing about "real" light is that the plant seems to know when to go into flower, which around my parts is the last of July/first of August . So, hahaha, I guess my answer is yes, it is still vegging. If you're happy with the way it looks, 12/12 her. If I had it, I would top a couple of the branches and veg another week or so and start to flower her out from there. Or I would throw her in now depending on my mood. ( gee I'm a lot of help, ain't I?) If it is LSD (mine was from Barney's Farm) you will enjoy it.
It's a plant. Same as any other plant. Cut a couple clones then flower out the mum to see what you get. If you like it, keep the clones. If not...toss'em. Trying to figure out the history is not relevant to how you handle it. But......there's a few clues. "LSD 2/z" Is a common way of differentiating same strain plants started from seed. For example LSD 1, LSD-2, LSD-3....... So it's one of two things. The previous grower either selected this pheno after running a garden, or more likely, this is the only female that lived out of several they popped. A seed plant can go ages without showing sex as long as there's enough light to keep it in veg. That light can be ambient room light or a desk lamp. Just because we use big powerful shit to give the best performance doesn't mean that's what's required for the plant to do it's thing.
Yeah, was gonna pull a few clones just for shits/giggles, and throw it in the flower room and see what happens. Nothing in there right now so nothing at risk.
