I have been asked several times by several members to post a story, so here's one. This happened back in circa '73. I picked up a girl I had recently met when she got off work at IHOP at 10 a.m. one morning. She was recently arrived from Jamacia, and she wanted to see downtown L.A. (which was kinda cool back in those days). So I park in a big outdoor parking lot. Ok, we climb into the back of my hippie love van and get really wasted on Columbian. She had brought street clothes and started to change out of her IHOP uniform. Me, and a girl undressing, in the back of my van. Do I have to paint you a picture (not these days, not with the internet)? So we're going at it for 2--3 hours, sealed in the carpeted womb of happiness that was my van, cut off from all the outside world, with tasty tunes, good pot and fantastic sex. Then finally it was time to go a-walking. I had parked my van in the lot right next to an alley. I open the door and 6' away from me, this guy in running down the alley, firing a gun behind him. A few seconds later, Kojack runs by, chasing him, dodging bullets. Not a just bald guy. Not just Telly Savalas. Kojack. With the Kojack hat, the cheesy Kojack checked jacket, with the Kojack lollipop. I closed the door, looked at the girl and said "Whoa I think I've just crossed over to the other side". Then I hear a magaphone: "CUT!!! Hey you in the hippie love van, get out or stay in, don't open the door," See, they were filming an episode of Kojack, and they had set up this scene while me and the girl were pre-occupied. Kojack was supposedly set in New York or smewhere back east, but it was filmed in L.A. (alleys look the same all over this great land of ours). So we get out and walk past the filming crew. You know how you look when you've just had great sex. That cocky saunter, that smirk/smile? And plus we had bloodshot eyes, and plus we're stone hippie's, plus they might have noticed the van gently swaying. Anyway, half the crew gave us a thumbs-up. We hung around for a few minutes and watched them re-shoot the scene, then took our tour.
