She was old and a few days ago was longer able to walk The hardest thing to do in the world...we had to put her down. We have another dog that will be feeling the loss too. to hear that Pie. I only had 1 dog my entire life. I had to put her to sleep last year. I think about her more than I do many relatives who've passed. I'm startin to bumm-out as I type.
So sorry to hear that Lemon. I still expect to see my collie waiting at my mums house every time i go there...
i'm sorry to hear of your loss, pie. our pets give us so much unconditional love (and never point out our faults), and it's soooo very hard to say goodbye to them. i'm sorry you're having to go through this.
Oh, lemonpie. I am SO, SO sorry!! I have an affinity for animals. I find them much more rewarding to deal with than humans most times. I watch Animal Planet religiously and I cry when I see how some people treat their 'beloved' pets. Ny deepest sympathies to you on your loss. JP
Most here know me and animals..especially dogs. Tears my heart out Lemon....so sorry for you and the Mr. Best thing to do I have found is get a new puppy right away. They will never replace the original, but they bring new light to your world after a terrible loss. Who can stay sad with a puppy rompin around the house acting silly? Just a thought to consider.
Wow Herbie, I was just looking online for pups! Hubby is so sad, and I'm a mess! I think you're right on about not being able to stay sad with a puppy around. Thank you Herbie, and all of you. You're words give me comfort.
Hey Lemon... Life's too short...companions such as our pets are part of our fabric, our breaths...when my 11 yr Wire-Haired Fox Terrier, Dexter...faltered and fell on a Sunday morning walk on April 29th, 2001...I got him across the street into the park across from where I live...Dexter died in my arms within the next 30 minutes...he had been just fine to my best observations before I left that morning...in fact he and I had just finished looking at my almost ready to harvest batch of mj plants...it was one of those serene Sunday mornings...suffice to say Lemon...it really was a devastating day in my life...I fell to pieces, literally...I wound up emotionally sick...it caused health problems and to let you know the sun shines again...later that year...on September 9th, 2001...I received into my life another companion, her name is DazeJane...she is a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier...I had had friends say maybe I needed to think about getting another dog...and for months as you can see I didn't...but trust me...I was searching the classifieds and the net within weeks...as I recall...I missed Dexter alot...still do...I don't know your pet's name...but Lemon my heart goes out to you...find pictures and celebrate your pet's life...my condolences...DC
Im feelin your loss girl. My heart will be broken when something happens to Pharoah. She'll be chasing butterflies forever now. It would take me a while to get a new puppy...I need a grieving period but your other dog might not miss her so much with a new friend.
Thanks Daze, my girl's name was Sig. You're very kind, thank you. Sativa I can't stop crying to leave the house...hubby says maybe we should grieve Sig, he's usually my rock, and now we're both kind of out of it.

damn lem sorry to hear i had a black lab named toker and boy did he blow the clouds he was my favorite he died of cancer after 4 years .... sorry to hear lemon

So sorry to hear about your loss Pie. We have just recently had to put our kid's cat down,got hit by a car,was ok,but was paralysed from the waist down,so we decided it was best for him,still sux though!
