You are going to have to give more info on your garden. Like soil, hydro and so on. what strain? temp, humidity, size of the room, Pot size, How long are you vegging and what nutes. that is just a few that I can think of. The others have about 10 more of them so start writing down your whole story then these guys can help Is'nt that right guys?

bud size = light+ ventilation+nutes+genes .How close are your lights what kind of ventilation what kind of ferts.

well it's just me but i think it may be due to lack of red spectrum lighting in the flower cycle and maybe a little grower's error/stress. Using a MH all the way through can produce a more aery bud..But more likely to do with it not beng good genetics, and maybe a couple other things as the others have said.

    thanks

well it is bagseed but i think indica for as far as i know i give the one thats budding 12/12 i fert it once a week with a 12/55/6 and spray it with soda water(is that doing any good?) it is good soil from my outside garden,i baked the soil then added vermiculite and perlite some pete moss and some manure.i am giving the 6 small plants 16/8 and and the lights are about 1 ft from the plant tops and the setup is in the basement in a grow box 4 ftwd by 6ft tallby 4ft deep i feed the new ones some miracle grow lawn food cause its high in nitrogen...is that smart? anyway there is a few more details and i also have some pictures on the garden page under the title just personal the big one thats budding is over 2 ft tall about 2 months old maybe a week or 2 more its in a 5 gallon bucket with a good six inches of rock then soil and plenty of drain holes my soil also stays pretty moist. is that cause i used play sand? and the 5 inchers are about 4 weeks old and in 6 inch clay pots they are all pretty and have wide leaves

you need to stop using any miracle grow products you have cept the perlite that shit works well... but Miracle Grow is A NO NO!

you need to search around online for some good nutrients, and i suggest Organics, it's newbie friendly and works better than good. It sounds like you got some nice indica on your hands so far. keep them healthy, and get an HPS for flowering.. a conversion bulb for that MH fixture would do the trick.. use both a MH and HPS during flowering and you not only will increase in yeild but it produces thicker more dense buds.. than just blue or red alone...

One last thing.. read till ya eyes bleed!

    good advice from the community.

Only thing I would add, Is to make sure after you switch the lights to 12/12 you give them atleast 8 weeks to finish flowering. 3-4 weeks into flowering you're basically just starting to see the buds. The magic happens the last 4 weeks.

    Good luck!

I noticed that you said your soil always stays prety moist, remember to let your soil dry out befor watering again, M.J. likes to dry out, not too dry though, wait until the top 2-3" of soil are dry.

In the veg stage this is good because the roots will search for water thus developing a bigger root ball.

In the flowering stage it is good because the plant will produce more trichs to try and hold moisture in.

all that mh is great for veg but the red the hps gives you is what they need for flowering.

Nope deffinately mikey! You nailed it the red spectrum is what causes to plant to produce certain hormones the plant heavily depend on for flower production. Also one other thing CO2 levels in the room might be responsible as well. Also how long do you let them flower and how long have these been flowering, buds dont just pop up huge you will need a good 2-3 months of flowering time alone! Then they should fill in. Just becuase you said they were pretty small and the white hair comment makes me think you need to let them flower longer, the hairs need to turn red buddy! BUt do this get some good ferts like FOX farm, Pure blend pro, AN or something get an HPS for flower or just a conversion HPS bulb, make sure you have mylar or flat white paint on the walls, make sure your humidity and temps are in check (35-55% humidity 76-84*F lights on), makes sure you have plenty of air movement cause a good fan on those buds will also help fill them out. Also, just to ask are you monitoring things like soil/water pH?

Hate to say this but perlite has no nutes once so ever and mg will work fine just get the one with higher Nitrogen levels then the other P.K. :punk:
I am very worried about the coke spray botel why still growing. I have heard why curring your stuff. But so chance you over cure it and it is dry and extra krispy. Spraying it with coke cola and water in a spray botel will bring back the desired texture we all look for. Just seems like to me that coke-cola spray why growing would attract more and more insects. Inless those are lady bugs then go for it. :)

MiracleGro perlite does have nutes added, just not a lot.

A bottle of fish emulsion costs about the same as the MG ferts and is a lot more newbie-friendly. Organics are a lot harder to fuck up.

I don't think he is spraying coke on his plants. He said "soda water" which is just carbonated water.

    Cut nothing

The only cutting you should do is to cut for clones, cut off the dead leaves, and cut at harvest. Leave leaves alone! cut no leaves.

Highallthetime- I am sorry man but Miracle Grows brand of Perlite is dusted in a very light fertilizer with a minimal NPK ratio.. I use it all the time. Most other perlite brands don't have any fertilizer added in.

You need to go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get you some alaska brand to get you through veg.. it's like 8$ or so. Then you need to get online and get you some flwoering ferts ordered..

And don't ever let anyone know you grow man! PEOPLE SNITCH! and 2 your friend is a numb nut..don't let him come near your shit again, don't ever cut anything off of your plants, and dont' talk about it any more..... showing off your "garden" might get you jailtime man.. I mean i know it 's something to be proud of, but safety first bro..

keep your soil @6.5-6.8 and you'll be fine..

sorry to sound angry there at the end, but i already smell trouble with this one...showing off your garden is a NO NO

looks like white hairs to me! But the pic is way too small! If they are WHITE haris its female if they look like grape clusters its a male. Maybe you need to do a little reading as well.:sign13:
