My plants (10 NL #5) are two weeks old and have three sets of green healthy leaves which spread out to about the size of a quarter. They are 4 inches tall. Have I dwarfed these somehow. I have them in a 3 x 4 closet with a 400W HPS placed at 3 feet above plants and have NOT fertilized yet. Am I OK??
Drop the light by 6"/day until it's 18" above the planttops. And nows the time to start feeding them. Start with 1/4 strength nutrients and build up gradually.
Ranger.. does he seriosly want to start giving his plants nutes at 2 weeks? that sounds a little harsh to me.. but i am only a beginner, my plants are about at 2 and a half weeks but i water with ST, so i thought that feeding both ST and nutes at such a young age would just piss off the plants and make em die..
ST is not a nutrient but a suppliment. I never use it myself. No weird-ass 'secret' hormones for me, thank you. Plants should start being fed at day 10--14, unless you are using Fox Farms or Black Gold potting soil (full of organic nutients--good) or 'fortified' potting soil (full of chemical nutes--bad).
I can almost gaurantee that if you transplant them into bigger pots...they will Double in growth every week!!! Never use chemicals either...becuz they ARE NOT Cannibis friendly!!! High Salinity in your soil has been scientifically proven to lower THC content and Stress the Hell outta them... When u do decide to transplant....PLEEEZ ditch your chemical fertz and get yourself some MetaNaturals at your local hydrostore... ...cannabis do actually grow faster with organic based fertz.... Conclusion: Plants can only grow as fast as their roots can...fact not fiction...get bigger potz! Photosynthesis and Transpiration- is the processes of "making brickz"... ...Roots and Respiration-are the "bricklayerz"...Roots are the onez who actually assimilate all of the "brickz" together to construct the "cannabis brick house"...
