2000 seems like alot im no hard ass or tough guy.Shit that seems like a big power bill(LOL).Going from 1 600 watt to 1 watt 1000 cant be that big a diff in power,(RIGHT??) every thing i have know is air cooled so i wont have to add extra for extra heat exhaust I'm running about 180.00 power bill now on a 3 bed to bath about 1100 to 1500sq ft under air.

If you want to save power go two 600w. If you want to grow huge buds go two 1000w. more light more bud simple as that!!!!!

What he said I should have went with a 1000 digital ballast but im finishing off this years indoor grow under 2 400s. Ive worked with a 600 last year and year before 1000W funny thing for 200 extra watts I would get double lumen output, and not much rise in heat compared to the 2 400W hps im running now.

You'll never beat the size of buds under a 1000w.

    Either 2 600's or 2 1000's. Fuck the 400's!

  8. I started out with a single 1000.

    I had a 2nd 1000 by the time I switched to flower.

My bill BEFORE I started growing was about $155 (considering I am still laid off and am home all day) It jumped about $100-130 a month with 2000 watts.

This may be a stupid question, but how do you save power this way???

I've used the 400's and now I'm up to the 1000, and it's a world of difference. I'd strongly recommend the 1000 watter. ;) :ebert:

Yup. Two 400s will give you an average 8 oz. yield. ONE 1000 will give a 10 oz yield. Why pay for the extra electricity for less than an optimal yield? Two 1000's...well, if ya dont blow a circuit, yer talking a 20 oz yield. OR stagger the two, giving you a 10 oz yield every month, rather than a 20 every two months.

    2*600 = 1200 watts

    2*1000 = 2000 watts

    2 600 watters saves you 0.8 kw's per hour

Two 400's can give you 20 oz. At 0.75g per watt you get over 21 oz and i think thats an average grow.

Two 1000's at 0.75g per watt you should be getting over 53 oz.

Your a little low last grow under two 1000's was 36 oz.

  18. Im hoping for about 30ish on my current grow, we shall see in about 4-5 weeks.

I think my next purchase will be a light mover. I think it might be beneficial and would help out with more even coverage

Personally, I'd go with 1 single higher powered light system because it gives you the extra power/light without the extra components you get with multiple systems like 2(two) 400 Watt Lamps. Plus ONE 1000Watt light gives more light/lumens than two 400's.

Unless you have a broader grow area and need the wider coverage so the light isn't so centered, then I'd use 2 seperate lights, but thats just me.
