GK active members... A lot of members take sabbaticals for a while then they return eventually... Im gonna invite some of my UK grower buddies to GK from the UK sites cos GK is better than the UK ones iv been on and a lot of ppl dont like the fact UK sites are on UK servers... JUST FOR THE RECORD PPL...GK IS NOT ON AN AMERICAN COMPANY CONTRARY TO WHAT CERTAIN EX MEMBERS ARE SPREADING.... I like the fact GK has a community family feel about it and intimitcy that you just cant get at other MJ SITES that have hundreds and hundreds of active members cos you can never get to know them aswell as we all get to know each other on here but i agree with you i would be good if we had a larger active member base,a lot more peeps are starting to join instead of :lurk: ... nowadays cos they can see that the ppl who used to flame the new members are now gone from GK and iv noticed a lot of new mebers joining recently and i think its partly based on the fact they know they wont get flamed on for asking 'n00bish Q's',they know they will get friendly help cos there aint no 'big ego' growers on GK these days,all our current members treat the new guys just as well as the older members which is how it should be... for every trillion of atoms we lose we gain a great new member in their place like Wizzle(one of many great new additions to GK IMHO) ...OUR SHIP IS SAILING STRONG AND OUR SAILS ARE HIGH,NO NEED TO WORRY..GK WILL ALWAYS HAVE A GREAT BASE OF KNOWLEDGABLE MEMBERS/GROWERS. But it dont hurt to have some new members but its not as if GK is a ghosttown,in fact iv been viewing a few forums recently and some of them have threads that aint been answered or replied to since 2006 and these sites(some of them)have lots of active members,at least GK has daily contributors and you rarely see a thread on here going w/out a reply for over a day nevermind yearPeaceotleaf:
It would be funny if every member started posting all of a sudden. I remember the old days, (So to speak) when people use to pitch in a few bucks for more band width when it was low.
I stop by almost daily but with the warmer weather>>>will admit I been outside after work and not on the puter like I am in the winter. I think that is prolly the reason we are not seeing the traffic as of recently as us GK'ers on the East Coast are loving this spring weather. NOW....ughh it is to get cold and rainy so you will see more of me the next days.... I too am away more from the computer what with work, a nor'easter taking the phone and the power out, and then mudd season with floods tossed in for giggles, and we mainiac are out having wicked good times. I am running to an fro trying to catch back up with the rat race. I discovered cloning is nothing more than what I use to help my mom do when she had prize winning african violets, so I have that down, and it is full speed ahead in that regard. I am now sure I can keep myself supplied with clones. I have harvested 5 of the first 7 I have ever grown indoors, under lights. It is not to shabby if I do say so myself. My woman says it is ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm:notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: so she is happy and off my back. The second grow looks much more promising as I learned much the first grow, and am learning more the second. I think by the time I begin rebuilding the house, I will have the design for the closet down. No way i can grow enough for my head in a 2 x 4 x 5 space.
