Hello, I recently got 24 Feminized Autoflowering Afghan Kush Ryder seeds. These seeds are from World of Seeds. Currently there are 12 plants flowering under a 600w hps unit. and 12 more vedging under 3 tube CFL bulbs in a closet area. The light cycle is currently is at 20/4 for vedging for the first 12 under HPS. And 24/0 for the other 12 vedging seedlings under tube CFL. I will be using 2, possibly 3 600w HPS lights on all 24 AKR plants. Depending on the heat level in the room. The nutes I'm using this round are General Hydroponics. Gro, Bloom, and Micro. I will be using Useless 3-part formula on all the plants. Advance Nutes were great but were expansive. So I will for.first time will be trying Useless formula. I will not be using the 4x8 tent this grow because: the plants need space and air, and the lights need a better support. That tent is to flimsy. So instead a 8 x 8 wooden frame was built to hang the HPS lights. I am using under pot trays on all the plants, sat on tile. Because the 4 x 8 flood tray takes a lot of space. Using plastic pots rather than plastic bags because bags are very unsuportive for the roots. Pic of seeds. 100% germination on all the seeds. First 12 AKR plants at 1 week and half, vedging under CFL bulbs. First 12 at 2 weeks one day. Day the were put under the HPS. Enjoy and please comment. Happy Grow! Bncd.
There are currently 24 Afghan Kush Ryders goin at the same time. These 12 AKR plants are (3 weeks and one day old) in the bottom pics. The great thing about the AKR is that they are all similar and grow at same rate. It's almost like clones. Although there is 2 that are reaching for hights. They are at 3 weeks and one day in vedging. Plant #1 is one of the biggest. Short and bushy. Plant #2 is taller and also bushy. It has the biggest stem as you can see in the pic. Plant #3 is tall and bushy. The AKR plants have very good thick stems, all of them, from seedling stage. The AKR plants are very tough and grow fast. I didn't use any nutes on first 12 plants, until they were 3 weeks old. So they only been fed once with nutes. I began to use full strenght of Useless GH 3-part Formula Schedule Week 1 feeding. They handled it well, so more strengh will be added next feeding. My question is. Should I skip the week1 shedule. And feed them week 2 shedule nutes next feeding? Or is that to dangerous? Seems plants can handle it, because how big they are. The other 12 seedlings, in the closet area, have been fed half strengh week 1 nutes. They seems to get tip burned due to excess nutes, to strong i guess. It was diffrent experement to start feeding first 12 plants till week 3. And the other 12 plants from day one they sprouted. We will watch the difference. O and Thank You Useless, for the nute schedule. Cause the back of the GH bottle is confusing. So far they like the nutes. And I remember that your 3- part formula was never used on autoflowers? This will be an experiment. What do you guys think? Any comment appreciated. This is first 12 AKR with lights off. They all look the same. Here is plant #1 pic. Plant #1 again Plant #2 pic. Plant #2 again. Plant #3 Plant #3 again Other 12 AKR at two days old under CFl. Close up of seedling
Update on 24 Afghan Kush Ryder plants. The first 12 AKR plants are exploding in size. They are about 4 weeks and one day old. The 4 of them are beginning to flower and have pistils on them. The 3 tallest plants have atleast grown 4 times the size in one week of vedging. In the pics tallest plant, one a week ago, was half way of the water bottle. Now its way over it now. In hight the #1 plant is at 24' inches and the shortest #3 plant is at 19' inches tall. I began using week 2 nutes of Useless formula few days ago and the plants handled it well. Green shoots are neon green. The other 12 AKR seedlingsare now 1 week and half old. They have been fed week1 nutes. With no nute burns. There are defintly bigger then the first 12 AKR at that time. So nutes are def helping. The third plant is the shortest and the bushiest. It seems there are two diffrent phenos of AKR. One small and short, and the other big and tall. Seems to me there are 4 short and rest are tall of first 12 plants. Plant #1 pic. Plant #1 again Plant #2 pic. Plant #2 again. Plant #3 pic. Plant #3 again Seedling #1 of second 12 AKR plants. Looks better with nutes then the first 12 at the same time.
Looking good and healthy, my friend. All these auto-flower grows are sure spurring my curiosity to try them out. It appears a lot of improvement has developed with them over the last few years. They were mostly spurned for a long time. Pulling up a chair ! BBT:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Admiring your nice grow, cooldude! I just got started with one fem'd seed of this strain, and it will be my first autoflowering eperience. Will watch your grow to know what to expect with mine. Grow on! :jj:
Hello again, I have a question about the autos. I discovered a hermie today in the oldest group of twelve. Obviously I'm going to take it out but I am extremely intrested, are there any benefits of a hermie? Ive heard they only produce feminized seeds, is this true? They can pollinate themselves? Thanks for help. Thanks Mary and Buds for watching. Mary I will be posting the whole feeding schedule for all the plants. So that will help you compare to your feeding shedule.
From what I've heard, they only produce fem seeds, but the offspring of the hermie will be more likely to hermie itself. Still worth growing out a few and seeing what happens, in my book. opcorn-2:
AKR are doing well, and the bud is growing fast. I lost one to hermie issue. In the fallowing pictures, you can see the diffrence in sizes of this strain. Even though, they are Autoflowers and crossed with Low Ryder, the strain is showing tall, medium, and short phenos. In these pictures, there is about 12 AKR's that got about 20 days to go. While other 12 AKR's, are still got long time to go, and there is no pictures of em yet. Plant #1 (35-37 days in to flowering) Plant #2 (35-37 days in to flowering) Plant #3 (35-37 days in to flowering) Plant #4 (35-37 days in to flowering)
Plant #5 (35-37 days in to flowering) Plant #6 (35-37 days in to flowering) Plant #7 (35-37 days in to flowering) Plant#8 (35-37 days in to flowering)
Plant #9 (35-37 days in to flowering) Plant #10 (35-37 days in to flowering) Plant #11 (35-37 days in to flowering) Plant #12 (35-37 days in to flowering)
Thank You, Hank, SpecialEd420, HdWink and Chaz for your comments. Yes the diffrences in sizes is a show.
fuck me i hope mine are all short!, well regardless they are all gonna be cause ill tie em down if they try to get big lol. And because i bought a new bigger hood, shhhhh im not telling !!!!!! wait for my AKR log.. i hope it turns out as good as the Bncool fucking kick ass job
7 and 10 get my vote. So does the Ruderalis have a noticeable impact on potency? Or do we have to wait to get an update on that later?
