AlienBait's White Widow Harvest

Hi folks,

I did not do a grow journal here for this plant, but I thought you might like to see the harvest pics.

This was a Dutch Passion White Widow from feminized seeds grown in my home made Drip/RDWC hydroponic system. It's like a Waterfarm except I use a fountain pump instead of a bubbler to bring the water to the top. The growing medium is regular red lava rocks.

I vegged for 7 weeks under 120 watts of fluorescent tubes. I wanted to veg for 5 weeks, but had some problems early in the grow which slowed things down. Once I got those corrected, it was smooth sailing.

I flowered for exactly 9 weeks under my 400W HPS.

Nutrients are "Vita-Grow" three-part nutes. Chemical, not organic.

I chopped her down today. Man, I hate harvesting... all that clipping, trimming, chopping....Pain in the ass! BUT, it is certainly worth the effort, so I really shouldn't complain. :angel4:

Here are the numbers.....Are you ready?...... 1089 grams = 2 lbs, 6.4 ounces (Wet). :cachas:

That seemed a bit high, so I weighed it on another scale. Came out the same.
Should be around 325 grams = 11 ounces dried.

I'll post the actual numbers in a week or so.

Not too bad for one plant. I thought White Widow was suppose to be a low yielder. Guess not.

This is some mold I found in one of the colas. The rest of it was good, so I just cut out the bad part. I guess I need a bigger fan in the flowering room.

well done AB! i love widow and you've got some monster colas. how did you manage to get the main stem on that thing so huge?! I'd imagine careful training and bending but thats just great. also, did you have to use agricultural netting to keep those buds supported or is that strictly the stem? well done man!

dam, AB. Those colas are looking sweet. great size I can't wait too see what they look like after drying. are the nugz dense? Well hats off to ya! happy smoking my friend.

Thanks, guys. I was really suprised when I weighed the buds. Almost 2 1/2 pounds (wet) from one indoor plant! Blew me away. I'm a happy boy.


campogk, I didn't do anything different than what I normally do to get the main cola that large. I just LST'd like I normal and it grew that way. I didn't have to do anything to hold it up either. Having a fan on it from the beginning of flowering was enough to stiffin up the stem so it could hold itself up.


sumbud, I hope it smokes as good as it looks also. I've never smoked WW before, so I'll try some after it is dry enough, even before the curing is done.


royaldoe, Yup, the nugs are very dense and hard.

That is one fine looking plant You picked the same way I lkie to pick when the leaves start yellowing good mmmmmmmmmmmmmm 1 inch main stem indoor thats great! Some fine looking smoke you got there WoW! Ive got some WW beans 2 days old ,Long Way to go.

 

Nice I got the same White Widow, just in veg, cannot wait to flower how is the smell, every time I pinch my stems, I smell a sweet smell from the white Widow and the Blueberry is just as good.

Thanks again for the kind words. When it's dry, I'll let you all know how it smokes. Bud, Yes, I am growing tobacco again. In fact, just yesterday, I started picking the leaves. Bud was so big it took 10 minutes for my computer to load. Very nice.

 

Friggin beauuutifuuul Alien! It's been quite a while since I've seen yields like that from an indoor plant. Especially in that size container....what was the pot size 2,3 gal? I have 4 WW around 21 days old, but they're the Nirvana variety, but that's definitely an encouragement to baby them after seeing that big azz mutha. Great Work!!!

 

It is actually a 3.5 gallon bucket inside a 5 gallon bucket, so it's pretty big.

Man that grass is beautiful


I plan on growing that same strain in my next grow.


I wish I knew what the secret is to getting such a big yield. I know there's lots of factors, but there has to be a perfect combination to get great results.
