I'll find a link for ya man and FB you it aswell as put it on here for anyone intrested. It could be one of them weird ass things though like that website Hulu. Everytime someone on here posts a good MJ thing to watch on Hulu i try watch it and get refused cos im not in USA. Same with netflix, they put doctor who and other shit on USA version before the UK netflix!!! I managed to find a workaround though using the googlechrome add ons.I downloaded a netflix app that proxies my ip and logs me into the American one.Not actually tried it yet though to see how it works lol. Im of to watch The Great Gatsby:pimp:

Around the 30 minute mark they start some parental views on how cannabis has effected the youth of Colo.

The family with the stoner kid has more problems than just weed. If the kid's doing it as a form of acting out or getting away from his folks like he says there's something deeper there than just weed.

BBC propoganda & lack of progress has brought out the Activist in me. Long Post AheadApologies in Advance for the wall of text. But its something i feel strongly about and im also going to use this post to create a U.K.M.C.n thread that i can use on social media.

BBC JOURNALISM AT ITS VERY WORST.

Instead of enlightening the masses with news from America on just what marijuana miracles are being performed out there in medical terms AND legal terms, instead of that our state sponsored BBC continues to discreetly blacken the name of Cannabis in a very subtle manner which is designed to maintain the public image of Cannabis being "Dangerous" and remaining very much a "Drug", with stories of boys in MJ rehab with addictions. This kid was INSISTING his addiction got so bad he "needed a smoke of marijuana every TWO hours!!!" or if he didn't get it he "would get pains in the heart":icon_rolleyes::5sigh: If i didn't know better i would say the last half hour of this current affair show was Satire made by the bastard love child of The Onion or The Poke and the MMYV(MJ makes you violent) FB page. It was borderline propaganda by the way they portray these "innocent kids hooked on the curse of Marijuana". What truly frustrated me and even angered me was the lack of insight and credible information FOR the case of Cannabis Legalisation.I aint gonna front, this is one of these posts where something has been on my mind a while and now in that magical moment when the sun, moon and stars align,a loooooong ass post has been given birth too.:eusa_whistle: I must explain that this post will now be made into a thread of its own and put out onto twitter and facebook and our Tumblr blog aswell, hence the obscenely stupendous length of it. Be nice to me guys, this is me coming out the MMJ Activist Closet. This be my unveiling so to speak so its gonna be a memorable post.:tvlaugh: The current state of affairs with Medical Marijuana In the UK is needing addressed. Theres a growing Activist culture gettng bigger daily because we see whats been achieved stateside. London Cannabis Club was the original and most successful but theres now CannabisSocialClubs in Scotland,England,Wales,Ulster and Ireland The 'glue' that binds such a large growing network is the UK Cannabis Social Clubs site aswell as NORMLUK . TBH Facebook and Twitter are how all the clubs communicate and co ordinate themselves. Social Media is increasingly being used at the forefront of Activism on a grassroots level in the UK. All the separate CannabisSocialClubs for each town and city have their own sites and social media ,in the same way you guys have with your NORML chapters.http://news.ukcsc.co.uk/http://norml-uk.org/Each time iv watched this http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b039dsnc/This_World_Americas_Stoned_Kids/ on tv its usually been background noise while im on the laptop ,playstation or im talking n the phone etc. But tonight, literally about 20 minutes ago. Tonight i watched it fully.... Fuck me it was almost sad to watch:sad4:. Sad to see the BBC blatantly put forward a seemingly un-biased , impartial, fair and balanced documentary that actually turns out to be the direct opposite. I wont rant and ramble on and highlight every detail in order to justify my opinion on it but i'll sum up the general vibe of it by a simple quote from a kid called Caleb from Colorado....." I started smoking it [WeeD] once or twice a week....then daily... then i started stealing cars":icon_rolleyes::5sigh:Another kid from the "rehab" explains how badly addicted he is because he used to be able to smoke it once or twice a week, then every other day, then daily, until he became so addicted that he HAS to smoke it every TWO HOURS ,otherwise "I get pains in my heart":eusa_doh:Whats sad is that these kids are going into these fucking rehabs and they are being conditioned (brainwashed) into believing that its WEED thats caused all and any problems they might have. The broken families, teenage rebellion and immaturity have nothing to do with it of course!:icon_rolleyes: Their being put into this stupid MJ rehab place which is ran by peermentor type role models who themselves are "reformed " ex MJ addicts" .I'll tell you why this even annoys me. Its a UK program and at the moment there's currently a rising interest among the "mainstream" general public in the UK regarding MMJ (M.C MedicalCannabis). Im speaking to more and more Family,Friends,Colleagues,Professionals and random people in the community who have never took a drug in their life, but they are increasingly aware of whats going on with MMJ stateside which in turn is causing Brits to see information on this new "MMJ" thing that's going on in America. People are aware of the fact its being successfully used to treat cancer with positive results. The fact it also can reduce seizures in epileptic children along with multiple other potential medical benefits,HAS NOT WENT UN-NOTICED by the majority of people over here. Inevitably it peaks interest. Iv said MANY times on Growkind that my one wish is for you guys to federally legalize Cannabis for medical use in every state because the ripple effect from that alone would be massive in our (UK) quest to end MJ prohibition. And THIS is where my problem kicks in with the said documentary....This is the FIRST documentary or current affairs show to address any Cannabis issues on primetime television on UK networks since Amendment 64 and Colorado and Washington made weed legal medically and recreationally. As such then you would expect,ESPECIALLY FROM THE RESPECTED BBC,with all its journalistic and broadcasting prestige and heritage. You would expect a PROPER debate style program where they fully investigate the subject matter from both 'for and against' perspectives. In the interests of being fair and balanced then you would expect them too highlight attention grabbing and inspirational examples from the American MMJ scene, right? WRONG!:sad4:They spend more time fucking around with these "rehab" kids and the spoonfed propaganda they have been exposed to. It pisses me of cos a LOT of people like my Dad and his generation would have sat to watch that in a kind of "Ok,lets see how much merit this USA MMJ scene really has" manner. Many people of the older generation(40s,50s,60s+) still think Cannabis is a gateway drug that messes with mental health and i had hoped this show would have been insightful and opened some eyes to the goodness and untapped potential of Cannabis. I'd actually told my Dad to watch it to see the impact of MMJ etc. I'm just glad my Dad already knows of some inspirational MJ related stories via me. He knew when i grew,he knows i hang out and volunteer a lot of my spare time to a cultivation site that is activist at heart,so my Dads open to discussions on it even though hes old school to the point "Cannabis is an illegal drug" philosophy. Privately my Dad has always told me over the years that he'd rather i smoked cannabis than drank or used prescribed drugs cos he says im a very calm, openminded, accommodating & thoughtful guy when im stoned.Hes often remarked how he observes im more cautious, less impulsive and don't seem to suffer from anxiety or depression when im "medicating myself". Many friends and family can recognise that smoking weed seems(in their eyes) to do me a lot more good than harm, they all have lax attitudes to weed, but still.....It would have been nice for them to watch this show and be presented with some of the amazing cases us Growkinders have seen and heard over te past few years. My Mum suffers from lots of medical issues and the way shes dozed up on Opiate pain relief and it woulda been nice for her and others to watch this show and be amazed at medical data and inspirational patient stories, rather than listening to some clueless ids saying how weed has wrecked their lives and how badly addicted they became!! :eusa_eh::eusa_shifty:It was a fucking travesty that this was shown by the BBC,mainly cos people of the older generation in this country tend to believe whatever the BBC tells them. This show offered ZERO insight or reported a FRACTION(1% if that!)of the facts you and me all know . The presenter came across a packet of high potency Marijuana Truffles (Which looked lush to my eyes:eusa_drool:) and he went on about how they are designed to appeal to kids although must be a cultural thing cos i dont know of any kids hooked on marijuana truffles.:rolleyes:In conclusion (regarding the program not the post:5eek:)- This just shows me that theres still a tough slog and uphill battle before we in the UK are gonna see progress on the MMJ front. Attitudes HAVE changed, the minority is slowly shifting to the majority in terms of people who are pro weed. I sometimes wonder of we will ever see what you guys are now seeing over there. In my eyes if the UK ever permits MMJ then there's gona be ZERO concessions and advantages like you guys are getting over there by being able to grow it and possess it in public etc. Mark my words, "If the Govt EVER permit MMJ in the UK then it will be in such a manner where it is only available in the form of "Sativex" type sprays/inhalers such as the ones already in production via GW Pharmaceuticals Aint no way we'll be allowed to grow it and walk around possessing the actual herb. :5masked:The Govt will have a chokehold on it from the get-go cos theres no fucking way their ever gonna let the local chavs from the housing schemes to make money from weed legally. God forbid some of the 'undesirables' could become budding entrepreneurs .Its a definite culture thing cos iv been thinking and talking about this a lot recently. Theres quite a number of CanabisSocialCubs in every town and city nowadays and im a member of one or two of their sites and facebook pages.Iv had discussions with some of these guys who are at the forefront of UK MMJ Activism. They not only attend rallies, they organise them! They seem to agree with my opinion, much to all our dismay, but this just makes us all more determined to do something about it.I for one am going to start getting more involved in the UK MMJ scene. The local CannabisSocialClub to me recently asked for a back up Admin to contribute some stuff for their facebook page and iv threw my hat in the ring but explaining my other MJ related commitments here at GK. The guy that runs the local chapter turns out to be a friend of my Gay cousin, small world. I digress, again lol, but i guess all the progress you guys have made and are still making is inspiring a lot of us in the UK to get more involved. Im going to use this post as a new UKMC thread on the forum because i intend to bore you all with regular updates on the UK MMJ scene. :roll:I became quite interested in the M.C scene in the past year due to in part being diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and i KNOW weed has helped me come through the PTSD. It works for me and recently iv posted on our social media some of the findings that actually confirm it helps treat PTSD among a hundred and one other ailments too. I have attended a Psychologist (for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy sessions) for several months and in fact yesterday was my final session. The Psychologist KNOWS i medicate with weed, her official line is shes supposed to tell anyone with PTSD that "smoking cannabis is an obstacle in what CBT tries to achieve blah blah blah". But privately in our Tony Soprano style sessions:lmao:, she has revealed to me that she "has had more than a passing interest with Cannabis in her personal life" and how she believes that MMJ will catch on over here in the medical profession in the same way the other medical American imports lie A.D.H.D and Fybromyalgia are now recognised over here aswell as their medicinal treatments .I strayed from my point (imagine that!:eusa_shifty: ) which was>>> Iv got PTSD so weed helps me medically, MY youngest brother suffers from ADHD and is borderline OCD and truly on the Asperger spectrum and weed totally helps him. My youngest sister has a form of social anxiety disorder and a very mild form of bi-polar. She smokes weed and believes it helps her. My Dad is retired and is in line for his second hip replacement which has a 6 month recovery process and lots of pain from the physiotherapy,i KNOW some cookies would do him world of good.He also suffers from both types of Arthritis and had to have ankle fusion surgery. Weed would ease his pain on all counts aswell as benefit a few other ailments he has. This is just a few people of the top of my head who would easily be prescribed weed if the you went legal of medicinal . :eusa_think:I bet we all know an easy 5-10 people from our immediate family & friends who would all benefit from MMJ:ponder: My cousin has been battling stage 4 hodgkins lymphoma cancer.Hes underwent chemotherapy and recently he was told the cancer cells are now not traceable in his body so essentially hes beaten it. But he still has to undergo a few months of Chemotherapy in the same way you need to continue taking anti biotics even after infection has cleared up.I told my cousin all about Ricks Oil and i gave him a lot of Scientific/Medical findings from serious studies conducted by Universities etc. He works in a university and i knew he would pay attention to (&respect) ANY kind of credible an respected findings. He seriously would be using the Ricks Oil right now instead of continuing with several more chemo sessions when hes more or less been given the all clear(tocuh wood:eusa_pray:).Im of the opinion now that its a CRIME almost on behalf of our Govt to continue to prohibit the Cannabis plant. I used to always say id be happy if they simply decriminalised weed but no,not now. Its got to be all or nothing now. It must be recognised by our Govt and institutions such as Medically, Legally and Industrially because anything less will only continue to hamper the general public's understanding, attitude and interest in the Cannabis Plant The Govt have spent so much time making Weed an outlaw,a war criminal. They have used so much "war propaganda" over DECADES that to decriminalise it would be an injustice because the Govt should be held responsible for changing peoples prejudices, after all THEY caused the public to grow up and view Cannabis as a morally bankrupt and addictive drug with devastating physical and mental health afflictions. Not to forget the image they created with men of seedy ,questionable nature making lots of money peddling this illegal drug to your children. When the publc think of the weed community they dont think of CannabisSocialClubs and NORMLUK,they think of football hooligan type geezers, black kids with jeans to their ankles peddling on BMX bikes ,the stereotypical Asian kid zooming about in an Evo tunes blaring or young thuggish chavs peddling weed. This is the image the Govt prtray in anti drugs adverts and this is what becomes engrained in the public consciousness .This is why ignorant people continue to look down upon anyone who publicly admits or endorses the use of Cannabis either medically or recreationally. The Govt need to LISTEN to their experts.!! This be a perfect example and interesting read. There was a time a few years ago when the UK Govt,Law Establishment AND the Medical Fraternity ALL conceded and concluded the "War On Drugs" was a spectacular failure. There was a Drug Czar the govt hired a few years ago. It was round about the time that the Govt( Tony Blair/ Gordon Brown era) were finally paying attention to drug statistics and crime rates for drug related incidents in Holland,Switzerland and Portugal. They decided the War on Drugs was a failure and were intent on changing the law,but that shit can be political suicide and the public needs drip fed those changes slowly so they experimented and devised a plan to DECRIMINALISE Cannabis in a few different London boroughs. It seemed to have had positive results, certainly nothing negative arose from it put it that way. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_NuttThe Govt legally downgraded Cannabis from a Class B drug to a Class C,no more jailtime for possession, simply the equivalent of an on the spot parking ticket. They brought in a new Ministerial Advisor they were calling, their "Drug Czar" . He was in the form of a respected man named David Nutt (refer to above Wii Entry for full lowdown o the guys impeccable background and history). He was A psychiatrist and neuropsychopharmacologist specialising in the research of drugs that affect the brain and conditions such as addiction, anxiety and sleep. This guy went away, made his own study and he toothcombed the data and stats then came bac to the Govt and said along the lines of "hey guys. You need to make cannabis legal.... and maybe even decriminalise LSD and Ecstasy". He was promptly shut down".:sad4:He was due, in his Drug Czar capacity, to compile a dossier of "the way forward" out of the money burning "war on drugs". His findings would be put in front of parliament as the backing for the Govt to propose sweeping new changes in a house bill, they had a huge majority at the time so could have easily got any new drug laws passed. They flinched! Froze like rabbit in headlights and they more or less asked David Nutt to retract huge swathes of his findings and to dilute his opinion and professional stance on much of his conclusions. Instead of defiling himself professionally AND morally,he decided to resign because afterall, what good is an almighty "DrugCzar" if the changes he proposes are rejected:ponder:(Read all about the whole sorry episode here, multiple sources recount how he resigned as did his staff aswell as the backlash in the media towards the Govt) http://endingcannabisprohibition.yuku.com/topic/1584#.UjJ40caUSJQWhen his departure went public in the media then another few members of the Govt Drug Advisory team decided to also leave in protest. THIS MOMENT IS WHEN THE LIBERAL GOVT FAILED TO MAKE SWEEPING CHANGES TO OUR DRUG LAWS but didn't and now as predicted the Conservatives have came to power and upgraded Cannabis to a class B drug again. All Cannabis being relaxed in legal terms is now off the table. MMJ to this Govt means ,at the very best, they MIGHT consider making the GW Pharma 'Sativex' Inhaler MMJ. But thats where it stops. David Nutt was a man way ahead of his time, well by Govt clocks at least. Hes an interesting guy,he sill publishes papers on all things Drugs and speaks at any conferences etc.Even if your not into the UK MC scene, his viewpoint in the way ahead for drugs is on a global arean not just a national one.Follow him on twitter @ProfDavidNutt ( https://twitter.com/ProfDavidNutt ) .Heres his old blog on WordPress (http://profdavidnutt.wordpress.com/),his new blog has moved to http://drugscience.org.uk/ This youtube video gives a good insight into his core beliefs regarding Cannabis etc. Worth a watching:thumbs-up:To get Cannabis accepted in medical terms there needs to be some serious activism from MY generation (30's and under) . Im gonna get more involved. Back in the day being a Cannabis Activist,to me, meant shifting four 9 bars every week to my mates. Then as i grew wiser and observed others,i became involved with Cultivation. To me this was as activist as i got lol. But iv realised recently that im the Admin of a Cultivation website AND iv got the ears of some influential movers and shakers in the weed industry via our Twitter and other social media not to mention i work with a company heavily involved in grassroots recovery from drugs while holding liberal and forward thinking views on how drugs should be dealt with for the next 50 years. If i cant make a contribution in some way ,shape or form to the UK Medical Cannabis scene then there's something seriously amiss. Essentially iv just realised that id be doing Cannabis a dis-service if i didnt get more involved in the UKMMJ scene. Im gonna get involved with NORMLUK and also try get involved with my local chapter of the CannabisSocialClub and then i'll see where i go from there. But UKMMJ is now my goal i want to pursue (outside of family & career aspirations) . Expect to see some more UKMMJ stuff appearing on the forum and our social media. If a conservative country like USA can "tear down that wall" built from the failed War On Drug, then maybe UK can too. Can i just say BTW.... IF ONE SINGLE MEMBER (who know my propensity for rambling and long wall of text posts) ACTUALLY READ ALL OF THIS POST THEN I TRULY AM GRATEFUL YOU TOOK THE TIME TO READ WHAT IS MERELY MY OPINION ON SOMETHING AND MY AMBITION TO HELP UKMMJ succeed. I salute thee!!:icon_salut: :icon_smile:pS: Now that im a declared U.K.M.C. 'Che Guevera':suave: ,my first revolutionary act of defiance is to now stop referring to the wonderful Herb, as "Marijuana":eusa_naughty: 'Marihuana' was its slave name and from here on in im calling it Cannabis. In future posts i'll call it MC (medical cannabis) rather than MMJ. Ok,got the revolution started:bongin:

The show was suggesting that if marijuana was legalised America's drug problem would dramatically increase. What they failed to do was compare their policy's to date and usage to that of the likes of Holland and Portugal. The figures speak for them-self's. The show is just an uneducated and bios self-indulging opinion. As someone else mentioned the kid's featured all had deeper underlying problems.
