The difference is people who got beheaded could have stayed home. Did a landmine do this or a bomb? These are much worse than some dumbass truckers that went to Iraq. They probably keep going to Iraq because Bush tells them it is a rosy place.
I think it's safe to say we're all good on the visuals, thank you. Dead is dead, your all right. But there's murder, manslaughter & premeditated murder. IMO, there's a hyarchy. There's accidents, suicide etc. dead IS dead (food for the worm's, nothing more). In general terms, I wouldn't equate a casualty of war to an orchestrated, terrorist execusion. Do we have death squads roaming Iraq, murdering innocent civilians, like these contractors? Maybe, I don't think... so ....? As for why they were there, nobody can say. Not you, not me. You can't gloss over terrorist execusions by saying they shouldn't have been there, I suppose they got what they deserved!?? It's an abortionated cluster-****, to say the least. Laughter is good medicine. I'm not in favor of the war on terror because I do not believe that our country is the best judge of character. I like my way of life, and if the destruction of others is the only way my lifestyle is being upheld than am I not just as guilty as the soldiers that carry out the executing? Is my ease of life only being upheld because of the US involvement in Iraq? Long or short run? Now for the questions on my present state of mind: Why do I feel so confused about humanity? Why do the actions of my elected officials frighten me to the point of submission? Why do I support corporations? Why is there nothing in my personal life bad enough to make me want to behead someone? Why was I born under an elite flag? Who is accessing my cookie files? Where is the ganja in our leaders' lives? Is anything sacred?
