So I picked up a small bottle of this: http://www.4hydroponics.com/clone/vitagrow.asp

Figured I'd give it a go and see what happens. So far I'm impressed. No humidity dome, no spraying, and the clones catch indirect breeze from my fan, still no wilting. It's been 5 days and they look just like they did when i cut 'em. Getting the little "nodules" or whatever you'd call the little bumps that form where the roots pop out. They're in a bubbler. Will see what happens but if it works well this may save alot of hassle in the future for a very small cost. Cut 'em and forget 'em. Anyone else ever use this stuff?

I will sniff it out in the local shops. I'm open minded to invention. I'm just stuck in my ways, I'm so used to my dome 'n all that. I do use a wetting agent, it makes the water hold to the plant longer. I used to use Coco-wet, but this is newer stuff. I can't recal the name, 'cause I'm out of the country diving. I will await reports on the board. The dude mighta' invented something. Thanks.

from the looks of it it reminds me of this floral wax that we used to use along time ago it looked like milk and we dipped the leaves of the cutting in it and it had the same effect

I know this sounds wild, but I just flew back from four months on the tropical Island of Curacao, (awesome.)

The wetting agent I use, is SM-90. It can be used, at all times, right up 'till final flush. It does alot of the claims of this products ad. I've used in one go around, and really was keen on it.

I will await further reports on this other stuff.

    Vitagrow Anti-wilt

I just picked up some of this from the hydro store the other day, and I must say it's fng amazing. I had clones that have been under a humidity dome for about 5 days, and I was able to spray them with anti-wilt and put them straight into my flood tray under the 1000k and they didn't fry or even show the slightest signs of wilting. I'm also using it on my cuttings in my aeroponic cloner with great success too! I highly recommend Vitagrow Anti-wilt.

Okay but I have a question.

Well, alright then! Thanks for sharing TC, we might just have to check that out! Now here is my question, since it prevents them from wilting and therefore decreases stress on the new cutting, so does it help them root faster? I guess if they don't root any faster then what would be the real benefit of using it?

For me, it was faster transplanting times. I usually wean them off of the humidity dome by taking it off for increasing amounts of time until they're ready to transplant. With this spray, I was able to take them straight from the clone tray to the table without having to wean them off of the humidity dome. In the future, I don't think I'll have to use humidity domes at all. I know a lot of people don't need them, but for me with the jiffy plugs and rapid rooters, they used to be a necessity.
