hello everyone i heard that if you use a red mh bulb on plants that have ruderalis traits are more likely to auto flower. is this true? what is an mh bulb? is it ok if i used a red mh bulb from seedling to harvest (i usually grow outdoors thats why i have no clue!)
wdcf, You are at the right place, but wrong forum, if you go to the FAQ's, or the set-up and lighting forums, you will find there is no red MH, which you will learn stands for Metal Halide, and tends toward the blue end of the spectrum. You will also find out there is an HID(you'll learn this stands for High Intensity Discharge) which is heavier on the red end of the spectrum, called a High Pressure Sodium(hps). You will also learn how to avoid making the mistakes of trying sodium vapor lights, or black lights, or Quartz Halides. You will also learn there is very much more to flowering plants than the light spectrum. And how to avoid crappy advice from 'friends' or sources who may wish to mislead you.
