Howdy, Not sure where this post should go , so I thought I'd put it here. I am going to the Cannabis Cup this year \o/ \o/ Anyone else here going?? Maybe we can burn one together while we are there. On to business.. Im hoping to smoke all kinds of stuff and buy some seeds of what I like best. Can you buy seeds at the event? Are there people from the seed companies there who know how to grow the stuff they are selling? Can anyone give me a ballpark figure for what seeds go for at the event? Thanks, noone

Make sure you check out the pink floyd cafe9umma gumma0...COOL AS FUCK:thumbsup:...theres a decent MJ cafe called the central just outside the central station which is handy cos after getting of the train the first thing ya wanna do is hit the nearest cafe... the cannabis cup is like WWE WRESTLING,its all politics and pre fixed,seedbreeders give judges like howard marks massive 'samples',lol,but its all in good spirit and they DO pick a quality strain at the end of it so its no joke,all CC cup winners have been great strains but sometimes i dont think they are adventurous enough,they should be trying a LOT more newer strains and shit but i know they got a criteria to adhere to...GET STONEDENJOY THE DAM AMIGO
awesome i wasnt there during cc but i'm planning on going next year for the cup. you can buy seeds all over during the cup... you can even find people at the flower market selling seeds. i dont reccomend buying from them... all the coffee shops who breed sell their own seeds along with the weed... not to mention nirvana, sensiseeds, the f dutchman, and barneys all have shops in amsterdam.... if you are looking for anything in particular, i reccomend going to canabis college over by the red light district and ask the dude in their grow room anything..... he is a fuckin genius! and any seed you want he either has it or can find it for you.... have a great time man! smoke a few for all of us!

I'll be there. The dam is great. Seed shops everywhere. Barneys is cool to go eat breakfast and have some coffee, and their coffeshop is right next door. But I'm guessing the wait is gonna take forever during the cup. The Rockerij (all 4 of them) have a cool vibe, all hindu decorations. Pretty cool stuff. Greenhouse has some of the best smoke. Try the AK-47 or Arjon's Haze. Greenhouse central is a pretty cool joint. Rasta baby is cool if you like reggae. As soon as you get off the train, look across the street and you will see the Rockerij, Bulldog, and Rasta baby. Grey Area is really cool. It's owned by a couple of americans. Try the Grey Mist. I wasn't impressed by the blueberry at the Noon. And it was supposed to be the best there. As for tourism, take boat ride in the canal. Pretty good way to check out the city. The Heineken brewery tour is only 5 euro. The Heineken in the dam tastes way better than heineken here. No preservatives. The Van Gogh museum is cool. The Rembrant house is cool too. Everyone does the Anne Franke house. Lots of shopping in and around the Leidespleine. Last time I was there (not for the CC) I smoked 30 grams of wees and 16-17 grams of hash in 2 days.
I'll PM ya all the best cafes,places of 'interest' and seedbanks Great info from useless just there...Greenhouse is cool as fuck,thats who i just got my feminised BIG BANG strain from(parentage el nino,skunk and northern lights) ...apart from the places u/less told you(the canal rides are cool as fuck),you should also (if you like soccer,even if ya dont its worth a look) check out the amsterdam arena which is home tothe world famous european cup winners AJAX AMSTERDAM FOOTBALL CLUB. The stadium is state of the art,its amazing and taking in a soccer game while stoned on space cakes(be careful with the s/cakes they really can fuck you up..in a good way though:wink),the atmosphere is euphoric and also you can park your car or set camp,whatever in the stadium car park from 7pm till 7am in the morning for free,a lot of stoner tourists congregate here during the night and iv met some cool peeps here. I'll send you adresses of my favourite cafes cos your 1st time at the dam can be confusing ,outside of the dam not a lot of peps speak english but its defo worth a day out going to venture out of amsterdam...rotterdam has one of europes BEST club scenes in all europe and you can get 'anything' in these clubs that you can get in amsterdam.. Yup Roxy just named some of the seedbanks and breeders that i regularly purchase from via my seedshop in glasgow...my POG(POT OF GOLD) is 'f dutchman.A.K.A. Mr.Skunky...the guys a legend in the dam) and my K2 is from nirvana... i'll either PM you or post a list of the best seedbanks that iv used in my lifetime and have never been let down by and a few others that come highly reccomended from the guys i kow who own the seedshop,they NEVER get complaints and are very exclusive and fussy bout who's seeds they sell..they dont even do dr.chronic but i think thats more to do with the doc being a main competitor to the hemphouse and i beliveve the owners of the doc and the seedshop i buy from know each other in some way so there may be disputes or other reasons but i'll send you the list. When at the dam dont do what most americans do...dont rent a friggin 5 star hotel man:disgust: ...thats DEFEATING the whole amsterdam experience...we go ghetto style,staying in cheap hostels where you can come and go un noticed or even better HIRE out one of the docked canal boats for the night and you can have a small smoking party and no one to bother you,although the boat remains firmly docked,lol,its sooooo cheap and its best to save your money for the seeds,weed and hookers if your that way inclined BTW a $10 hooker will shag just as good as a $50 hooker PLEASE PLEASE GO TO THE UMMA GUMMA PINK FLOYD CAFE... I was thinking about renting a boat or a flat for the week. Last time I stayed at a hotel not far from the Noon and Heineken brewery. @ $10 vs. $50 hookers... The redlight district can be a bit shady in the afterhours. Groups of people smoking crack and shit. But I was never worried. Oh yea, THC Seeds is right next door to the Marijuana and Hemp Museum. Oh yea, I understand that the coffeshops can no longer serve alcohol. That sucks, cuz it's really nice to sit down and have a pint of Heini, or Stella or something while you're smoking a fatty. As of this month too. But I heard someone say it was only spirits or hard alcohol that were banned, not beer. I hope that's the case. Can anyone clarify? We'll have to meet up over there and smoke some ganja and hash Noone. Are you gonna be a judge for the cup? There is a website that has all the coffeshops laid out on a map. It's like coffeefreak.com or something. I will find it and post it up for everyone.
ditto on the hotel when my girl and i went we just rented an apartment for a week. i still have the lady's contact info if you are interested. it was only like 450 euros for the week, and it had a big double bed a fire place, a nice tub, kitchen area, refigerator, internet acess and a nice little garden area to sit and smoke.... i'm kinda bummed i didnt go to this pink floyd coffee shop AP keeps talkin about.... the apartment that we rented was right around the corner from one of the rojerki (sp?) we were there every night. as far as tourism goes you have to see the ann frank house, the van gogh museum (which is awesome when your stoned), the flower market on singel, and the flea market at waterlooplein... those were my favorites.... damn, man wish i could go too... i miss it.. i had the best time....

That and getting a CannaButter Shake , I hear they are really good. TheApprentice - LOL , my GF is coming with me :x She might not like me spending too much time in the red light district Either way, Im a total newb at being outside the US. ... most of the hotels we saw were like 250-300 euros a night, so we just rented this apartment we found for the week and it was way cheaper for a week there than 2 nights in a hotel. the red light district isnt bad in the day time, i got a little creeped out when i got lost over there at like 10 pm when i was stoned.... but you have to at least go, especially if its your first time there, there are a lot of cool museums and little shops, plus most of the coffee shops are in the red light district... take your lady and go laugh at all the old saggy prostitutes, it's actually quite fun, thats what we did when we were there.... just no pictures! i bought a frommers guide to amsterdam at barnes and noble, it had a lot of good advice and good tips on where to get some tasty food and fun things to see... i'd reccomend it....
