I would like to mention that given the current political climate in New Zealand it could be a possibility to legalize Cannabis in New Zealand but the only problem is the Alcohol Lobby which includes Budweiser, the tobacco lobby which includes Marlboro has both parties which are Labour and National under their paybooks which means they have a major say and the people don't,it would be highly possible that they could create another disinfo campaign to stop legalization in New Zealand What I want to write about is early in 1998 when Parliament in Wellington managed to pick a bill written by a MP by the name of Tim Shadbolt who was mayor of Invercargill in the South Island. The Bill was proposed to have Partial to Full legalization of Cannabis in New Zealand which would have allowed Cannabis to be used for Heart Disease,Epilepsy,Cancer,Atherosclerosis and also it would have allowed for inventors in New Zealand to convert their cars to run on other fuels besides from petrol.People would als By September of 1998 a huge Disinformation Campaign took place, make no mistake the Alcohol lobby,Tobacco lobby,Oil lobby,Pharmaceutical lobby and etc were involved they didn't make themselves obvious but it was actually them spawning up the Anti Cannabis reform groups and they were using blatant propaganda from William Hearst. By November of 1998 Tim Shadbolt's Bill for Partial Legalization of Cannabis was effectively stopped dead in its tracks in Parliament,no politician tried to vote for it.In the end some of the people who worked in the Anti Cannabis groups in New Zealand spilled the beans that it was the Alcohol,Oil,Tobacco and Pharmaceutical lobby that stopped the bill and the people who came out from the anti Cannabis groups they were 75%-100% funded by them. In the end at least 4-8 years of Cannabis reform in New Zealand was setback due to the Pharma,Oil,Tobacco and Alcohol lobby and also the attempt in New Zealand to restart Cannabis reform is very minimal and most youngsters in New Zealand are more attracted to alcohol
