Panty hose, any material really. Its just a strainer to get the weed out of the butter/ water mix

Cheese cloth is really cheap and you can get it at your local grocery store.

I use a metal strainer. Do press the cooked green.. Lots of oil in it.

So what is the difference if some green gets in the butter?

I mean, why cheese cloth? What makes it better then a plain wire strainer?

So you don't get it in your teeth during a date and be all like, "Oh man, I wonder if I have something green in my teeth...damn that would suck....better go to the bathroom..."

Cheesecloth works great because it filters out all the nasty waste, and it sticks to the cheesecloth, then you can squeeze the cheesecloth out to the last drop.

The green matter isnt very tasty, and you will want to minimize the leaf flavor.

Metal strainer will work fine, but you can squeeze more out with the cloth.

    my 2 cents.

    On the subject of cannabutter...

Last time I made cannabutter there was a strong taste/odor in the finished cookies which them less desirable.

So I'm gonna try using water cured buds next time.
