I have a few Northern Lights 5 gowing in a well ventalated closet. Average temp 80. The soil was a miracle grow pre-fertilized soil. They were doing great but 3 weeks in to veging they have stopped growing, look droopy, and the bottom leaves are burnt looking and drying up. They are well watered and under a 250W MH. The edges of some of the leaves are burnt yellow with brown spots on them. Any ideas??
I agree with choker. HOWEVER. How much perlite did you add to the soil? What are you feeding the plants besides what's already in the soil? Have you checked PH? From the sounds of the spotting, id say you could have magnesium deficiency, ON TOP of obvious other things. The shitty thing about miracle grow soil is that when you use it, if a problem arises, there is really nothing you can do about it because you don't know how much of what its getting in the first place....ya dig? How big are they? can you get a picture to help us out? after all, a picture is worth a thousand words and by the sound of it you need to hear some.. droopiness is usually due to over watering, but not always
Thanks for the input. camera on the blitz. The lower leaves are/feel burnt like paper. You can peel them off the stalks like fan leaves in flower. A few of the upper leaves have brown streaks running thru the viens with green in between. The brown portions of the upper leaves feel like dry paper. When I say droopy I mean the leaves are hanging down kinda like an umbrella. I water these babies with tap water which has never been a problem. The PH is 7.5 I just flushed one to see what it looks like tomorrow. FYI... they are about 10 to 12 inches tall.
approx. how many nodes?? oh yea, and try to get a camera phone, most phones can take a picture and send that picture your email. get into your email and retrieve the picture and let us see. thats really the only thing that might help you.
Sounds like your ph is to high & your watering to much let the pot dry out before you water then water till it comes out the bottom.-Bud
NO dont use your camera phone. You transfer through the phone co's server, which retains a copy of the picture and the address you sent it to.
sorry guess I always think people are as smart as me. I use a phone with no contract, no name. The name on my acct is 420man.. I use an email that has nothing to link me with the REAL ME.. and i use anonymizer...have fun tracking one of my 10,000 IP addresses..lol
