picked up a sweet little hygrometer today after i saw one in another post, talking about curing. i'm headed downstairs to throw my stuff in canning jars, and i'm going to toss my new gadget in one of the jars. i will rotate it through my 4 jars to measure each.

unfortunately, i can't remember a thing about ideal temp & RH!!! any help, folks???

A temp in the mid 60's - low 70's with 40-50% humidity is perfecto. :)

    :thumbs-up: thanks doob!

temp seems easy to control, but how about humidity? too low, do what? too high, vent longer???

Your bud will dry out too much at that humidity level.

What about keeping buds in a humidor? Would it be a good way of storing my personal buds? Or what about rolling a nice fat blunt and storing them in the humidor until I decide I want one and just whip it out? What do you guys think?

can't say that i've ever heard of it, but sounds like it would work just fine! optimal temps/humidity..... why not? little classier than the grungy ziploc stuffed in a sock drawer :)

I got mine at Walmart--less than 10 bucks, digital. Tells tempt and RH.

Dixie you just have to be careful the one I bought from there I was using for a while and when compared to these Calibers I bought it was off by quite a bit. You can calibrate them I think with like a salt test or towel test or some shit I read a thread somewhere. Anyway the ones I use are called Cailber III's and are suppose to be insane accurate and are real small and can fit inside the jars. I listed the site I used in my previous thread regarding this.
