Healthy looking. What nutes are you using? Next time you take some cuts for new moms try bushing them them out if you got the room, and you will b amazed how fast and how many clones you will be pulling off them. It doesn't take long and you have to flower those bushes. I use to bush them out and holy cow the amount of bud was great. It really is a plant that will take care of you if you take care if it. :not-worthy: man I took one clone and in like 5 years had done prob, well only God knows but a ton of plants and bud. You are going to love this one.
Yeah, JCIO has the right idea. Hack those plants in half and they'll start side shoots like crazy. Fat bushy plants give more clone sites than tall thin ones.
Using GH 3 part, UF but have only fed once. They are in straight Promix. Just getting water mostly. Yup sharpening up the axe right now....
The girls look great and hopefully produce bookoos of offspring for ya. And I love the Promix, used it for 6 or 7 years and couldn't be happier. Eager to see some of those babies in the tables. :thumbs-up: Be Cool, CG
FF you are going to have blueberries coming out of your ears once you get them going. :roffl: :bananas: :guitar7:
so you keep the moms in dirt? I was thinking about doing this, it just seems like it would be a little easier and less space in my situation
I keep all of my mom's in dirt - thought thats not a fair comparison because I grow in dirt as well..... As long as you dont over-water and give them occasional nutes - they will be fine.. Generally I give my mom's nutes about 2-3 weeks before I intend on taking cuts. I have been cutting very often so that rule doesnt always hold true. I generally keep my next three runs in solo cups - the girls do fine in there for as long as a couple months
yeah I keep the moms here in dirt. Easier long term than any hydro system other than hempy. I keep other moms in 5 gallon hempy buckets, which is essentially the same as keeping them in dirt in terms of the maintenance. Hempy is just a bit cleaner than dirt. Dirt is messy a hell. Or rather I am messy when dealing with dirt. The two dab moms are on left, the tall one is JBKOK mom, and the cups are full of fresh cuts. As an experiment, when I trimmed up the last table I kept all the good cuts and stuck them in those cups, sort of intending to put them into cubes later, but then I got the clonerator so I stalled, and then other shit came up....so anyway a week later the cuts are still in the cups and appear to be rooting
A lot of times I have more cuts than I have room in the cloner for at the time. But have clones coming out real soon. So to help keep the cuts happy until they go into the cloner I put an air line in the water with them. It has to be a pretty good sized container or the water will bubble away quickly. I'll put them in a 1 qt gatoraid bottle with the air line and they stay happy for several days. Be Cool, CG
My extra cuts go in the fridge in a glass of distilled water. Have even wrapped a bunch with a wet paper towel around the stems and threw them in the veggie drawer for a week. No problems. Clones are tougher than you'd think.
I never even thought about the fridge. Should be better cause the heat usually gets mine in the end. Be Cool, CG
If you put clones in the fridge be careful about putting them in ziplocks. I did that once and 10 days later they came out a nice brownish green mush. Burp the bags if you fridge your cuts, or better yet leave them open. Same as you'd treat fresh parsley or cilantro bunches.
Yup, a nice little reserve of clones in stasis is nice to have around. I've kept clones in the fridge for 2 months or so before rooting. LOL Just change the water out once a week or so and keep them in the open air. I do what res said, either use a glass with some water or small Tupperware containers. If you do anything that's closed like a bag just make sure to burp them as well as change the water. Oh and make sure once you take them out of stasis to let them come up to temp for 30-60 mins then make new cuts under water before moving to the cloner.
