**** I have lookin to invest in some NL seeds to get a decent strain goin cause it's undetermined what I have (aleast 2 strains for sure), but **** I have been lookin at the seed banks , and top sites and these seeds are WAY to expensive for a family guy like me . **** I can't pay 40.00 to 70.00 dollers for 10 seeds, I just can't. My wife would kill me. Why so high in price The only website I found that DECENT prices is Quikseeds. Which brings me to my next Question , Why is Quikseeds so lower in price than other sites(much lower) ? I want to buy,but my budjet narrows it down to Quikseeds by far. Has anyone ordered from them ? Are they reliable ? If I have to I'll clone from what I have (is sucessfull)I just wanted a known strain ..... ...........stay cool & keep DNC
Hello Dazed Well..Some seedbanks do want quite a bit for there seeds..True, But look at it this way..How much was that last 1/8th you bought?? After you grow out a popular strain with High ratings..You will then realize it was worth every penny you spent.A pound of bud is worth alot..Especially, when you invested a very small amount of cash to get this operation started..Growing weed does pay off in the end(Only if your careful, that is..)..You need good genetics..and thats why some of them seed banks charge so much..They had to spend alot of there time/money to make superb beans that yield high, with outstanding potency.....and i believe they charge accordingly.Usually,You get what you pay for.Buy some Northern Lights #5 or something of the sort..sex them plants..Pick the best female outta the bunch, make it the main mother plant..Take clones..and your set for a long time.Just bite the bullet, and buy the "Goods"..Dont get too cheap in this department..or else you will be kicking yourself in the end..Good day, and good luck my friend, CG
Thanks Bro I just needed some logic brought my way. You made it very understandable . GOD I LOVE THIS FORUM !!!!!!!! Can anybody answer my other question 'Is Quikseeds reliable in there products 'seed quality & shipping reliability'???' I've Emailed them but I got no response yet. .................stay cool & keep DNC (Edited by DazedNConfused at 9:21 am on Oct. 16, 2002)
I just started some Bubblegum and Ice seeds from them. I can't compare them to anyone, cause I have never ordered fron anyone else. The shipping took 5 business days and was very discreet, in CD cases. If I were you, I would not have them shipped to your personal address. Find a friend that doesn't grow and tell him you ordered a couple of CD's and they wouldn't ship them to your address , or something like that. 3 out of 3 Bubblegum's that I germinated, sprouted and 2 out of three Ice's sprouted. I don't have a finished product yet, so they really could be bag seeds for all I know. The seeds did look healthy and big. Hope this helps you out. I also told them I was sent from GrowKind and they did't hook me up. The guy from QuickSeeds is always talking about hooking GK members up. Must of forgot me.
Hey Thanks Northlite for the compliment..Iam trying my best bro in giving out proper advice, and consultation. .. Its the way i look at things.I used to say the same things myself..But, there is a reason behind the high prices..and that is "Demand".Iam positive that most quality seedbanks make there buck. And iam completely sure that most of there customers have a big cheesy grin after 60 days of flowering...Quickseeds sounds like a good outfit. They seem professional, courteous, proper and polite.Iam willing to bet that they have it going on on there end. They want to establish a good customer relationship, so why would they screw up so early in there business.I think it would be wise to give them a try... I have not heard any bad remarks.. Yea..Give em a try.I know i will someday. CG
Quickseeds are not really any cheap than other companies selling Nirvana seeds. You can pick nirvana seeds up all over the place for £10. They are great quality seeds. We have quite a few strains by nirvana with great results!
Yeah ive grown out my first 'bought' seeds. At the time they seem pricey but when you have that 'growers privilage' strength of high and yield, you realize that the seeds are of a good price. I always want value for money so to make the price sweeter, i grew a chronic male and crossed it with the white Russian and with another chronic fem. Because i only pollinated one bud set per plant i got around 100 seeds per plant and 1.75 ounce of dry bud from the White Russian and 1.5 ounce from the Chronic. Buying direct from the grower plus postage, each seed cost me £3.30 + £11 to grow the plant (oh yes i have the calculations down to how much it takes to see a seed through to harvest). Not bad for 1.75 ounce of quality bud and 100 seeds; Cheap if you ask me! Bummer thing is, i have had to close down the grow. Ive distributed the white Russian x Chronic's to my grower friends. Im desperate to see how they grow.
True EvilSkuzzi, I did a little poking around and they are just about the same, which is why I wondered why some people were saying they were so cheap. Once you add the pastage onto QuickSeeds costs, they the same, perhaps a few bucks cheaper on a couple of strains though. DazedNConfused - No one has any complaints from them so if you plan on ordering they do the job. I'll probibly give them a go soon myself. (Edited by chopstick at 8:16 am on Oct. 17, 2002)
