I am a little pissed. I was trying to fix a computer, it had an older OS, and I was going to update it with windows xp, so I went to the computer store and bought a whole bunch of stuff, including a copy of xp. Got home and tried to do a complete re-install. And the disk was missing files. So I spent 2 hours on the phone with tech support. Hardly being able to understand a word they were saying. And then they say "take it back to the store and exchange it for a different copy." So I do, keep in mind I live in the boonies and I don't have a car, I get there and they say that they do exchanges on everything except microsoft products. So I go home and call customer service and they're sending me a fresh copy. They were really nice, but I just feel like I got the run around, and I'm kind of an impatient person. All I want to do is make an avatar. Dang!
frustrating, isn't it? anything to do with my computer gets me all tied up in a knot. and i can't understand a word tech support says either. GO CARDS! (Edited by marymaryquitecntrary at 6:18 pm on Oct. 23, 2004)
Oh believe me when I say I was token the whole time I was on the phone with tech. They were from india. And it was really hard to even hear them, let alone understand them.
yep, that's what i meant. i am pretty good at understanding people who are speaking english as a second language, but i just get more frustrated trying to understand their accent. i guess that's why i go buy a new computer every 3 yrs or so. GO CARDS!
