Those that have done both, how is the comparision? I get on any given run between 75%-95% with a DIY cloner. I'm not that happy and I can only do about 10 at a time. I actually can now think about getting an EZ Cloner, but I don't really want to part with the $300 for a 30 site. I'd like a 30 site, but I could also use a new tattoo. Decisions, decisions. What are the benefits of the EZ? What are the pitfalls? How are the results? Thanks ahead of time for any answers. :coool:
I wouldn't waste the money. I have a 25-site one I paid $50 on Ebay and I get 100%. With EZ, you're paying for the name is all.
I LOVE my EZ Cloner! The only DIY cloner I've done was the bubble cloner but essentially it was the same principle. I had about 80%-90% success rate with my DIY cloner. I have a 100% success rate with over 100 clones produced already since I started using my EZ Cloner. It's probably useful to point out that my EZ Cloner was used and without a pump. (120 site calls for an 1100 GPH replacement pump that's expensive) I used a cheap active aqua 550 GPH pump instead and it works perfectly without putting out as much heat as the recommended pump. I like the sprayer manifold they make. Why not look on Craigslist for a used one? I know people sell them used all the time.
I made a diy one out of a 10 gal ressy and made a top out of fiberglass and got 100%, i went and bought a power cloner and still get 100% but they seem to root a little faster. The only difference was the shape of the manifold abd i did not have bubblers in my diy, my guess is the bubblers made the difference by pumping new oxygen in the water.
no way, buy the name brand! They now have a 16 site one and 32 site one.....16 is like $120-40 or something.......bet your life you'll have roots in 6 days, maybe less....wait a few more days then you'll have to veg for 2 weeks then go to flower Take nice clones from the tops or mid sections
CC, your right. I do believe I'll be getting the 32. The prices are cheaper than my 3 year old book. About 200-225 for the 32. It will make my life simpler and I have a hard time buying used.
Got it!! Didn't have the 32, just the older ones. Gave it to me for the price of the newer version. Seems weird saying it that way, but I know the older 30's, 60's and 120's were more expensive. Dude also told me that newer version also has been recalled and that he just recieved a shipment (which he showed me) of replacement parts for the new ones. Screw that. I don't need to fix a new thing. Sooooo, I'm pretty stoked!! Been a long time that I couldn't do shit like this. (spend money). Feels good.
