What's wrong here? This is Sweet Tooth, 10 days old. Why did she start to droop her leaves? She's been getting only water til today and DAMN! Until a GKer suggested it, I had never even thought to pH test my WATER. When I did, I discovered my water, straight from the tap is 9.2. So...for 10 days she's been getting bad water. Today I gave her 1/4 strength veg nutes with the pH adjusted properly. Is it too late? Ineed her to make it...she's the only Sweet Tooth I have and Im craving her clones!
Here's another! This is my Wonder Woman, 21 days old. I trans her yesterday from her Solo cup to her bigger container because she was already looking droopy in the Solo. I thought getting her more leg room would perk her up...but she still is droopy. She's getting pH adjusted 1/2 strength veg nutes. What's wrong?
Looks to me like you are seeing the after affects of your ph problem. If it were me I would take them off the nutes flush them good and wait a few days before giving them nutes. :beerchug-2: Teamster6
Alrighty. Flush em with pH adjusted weater for a change! Roger wilco, teamster. Thanks. I was thinking it was PROB a pH thing, but then again, I wasnt totally sure. Dix, relieved
i'd also get that "Wonder Woman" out of that clear cup or get some duct tape and cover the cup. you don't need algee problems with your roots
Smarten up Run your ass to the store. K-mart, Lowes, Ace is the place...WHEREVER. Pick yourself up a gollon or two or three of Distilled water. Flush them puppies good, let them dry out, then flush em again. All the while, using nothing but distilled water. Then, just sit back, spark one up, relax and enjoy! Peace, JJb asssit:
...? You have the ability to buy premium genetics off the internet yet you didn't know to test your water? That's actually the preferred way to do it...MUCH more accurate than testing the soil...buy a cheap yellow milwaukee H pen off the internet with all the supplies for like 40 bucks. It is, besides the lights, the most important piece of your garden. You're going to kill the plants if you don't. How have you not killed your plants in the past not knowing the PH? Very lucky, IMO. If i seem mean or brash, i'm not. It's just the way i speak. To the point with no bullshit. You need to check out the FAQ because my guess is there are some other crucial building blocks you may have missed. It will only help. I had the luxury to study how to grow marijuana for one year before i actually got my hands dirty. I literally made it a point to learn something new every day. It was my passion. And it pays...
Wow. Lots of assumptions, there. I have a fine pH meter. I grow Hempy. No soil. I Always test my nute solution and adjust it. I just never thought to test my water. Being from a spring, having no chlorine or other chems, I made a (false) assumption it was neutral. I've read the FAQ's--here and in several other forums. You dont have a corner or study OR passion for growing. I spend an average of two hours a day reading/learning. Yeah, Id say study pays and I knew that about 18 months before you so condescendingly pointed it out. Dixie
Got distilled water on the list! Meantime, I flushed them with pH adjusted water yesterday and again this morning and they are both looking perked up and fine now. The WoWo is completely back to normal and the baby is about half way back. What a relief! Im counting on both those ladies to give me lots and lotsa of clones. My whole next grow will be all WoWo and Sweet Tooth. Well...maybe more Gorilla Grape, too...LOL! So many strains...so little time... Thanks. I will DEF get the DW. Dixie
Im tellin ya! It's a miraculous recovery, already--with just two flushes! The WoWo is completely back to normal and the seedling is getting there. Man... I'll be watching her real close. I dont worry too much about algae. I used to spray paint my clear containers, then I decided to leave one clear juyst to see if it made a big diff...it really didnt. I get a little algae but not a significant amount. Dixie
Dixie, I use soil, so I'm not sure about flushing a hempy. When you flush a hempy, do you rinse it out or do you just add water? thanks. G_B
I adjusted the pH of my water, let it sit a while to come to rrom tempt, then poured it in til I was sure ALL the "old" watwer in the res was replaced with new water. Next day, I did it again. Today the baby is almost back to perfect and has added some height. The WoWo is totally OK now and has also added a bit of height. She needs to be re-potted already. Im not going to re-pot for another couple days to give her plenty of time to recover . Dixie
i think this is a good idea as well. not only the algee but the new roots will do much better out of the light. peace, CG
