How long into an outdoor grow will plants develop pre-flowers? Started them about 3 weeks ago from seed. They are all showing 3-4 sets of leaves and are all roughly 2"-4" tall. I used a 5-5-5 starter fert and the ph is 6.6 They are getting full sun from roughly 11ish till sunset. We are listed as a (zone 5) Hardiness Zone. Seeds are more than likely sativa which sucks now but will be nice come harvest time... I have roughly a dozen plants spaced out in a bed with some Delphiniums, Foxglove and Lupins. Great camo verieties btw! Just want to get rid of males ASAP! So is there any way to sex before pre-flowers on characteristics alone?
Every strain is different. No way to tell. Some strains sex early, some late, some in the middle. It's gonna depend on where you are located as well. As daylight start to shorten, plants will start maturing sexually. Some strains will sex early, but continue to grow in the veg state. So I guess you could say it's impossible to predict from the info given.
