Ok heres a couple questions.... i pulled a little bud off my one of my aks, smokes great blabla, the trichs are mostly cloudy with a few amber here and there, plan on chopping them in two weeks, sound good? I will be sharing pics of the harvest with my fellow gk family, i just cant risk security taking em out in the jungle...sorry. The camera is part of my story for being out there... Now for the big question........ can you folks give me any tips on getting em home? Any tips would be great. Im working with 10 ak 47 clones and 2 hollands hopew plants. the aks fucking stink to high hel, any ideas on how to get em back home. ways to seeel the smell with out trashing the buds etc. thanks fam
I usually take the whole plant or plants and put them in big black garbage bags, but I never had to drive very far. Maybe think about doing a rough trimming on the spot so you have less material, double bagging them. Maybe also take a rubbermaid along and put the bagged stuff in that. I don't know, this is probablz what I would do, but their just ideas..my 2 cents
I agree with link.. if its possible do most of the manicure in the field. Trim the branches from the main stalk, and bag them up. Theres also ways of drying outdoors, but I like to get my home and tuck it away safe in a locked closet to dry
Get one of the store and seal bags that they sell on TV and at wally world, also get a battery operated mattress inflation pump. Put your buds in the bag and seal the top hook up the pump in reverse and suck all of the air out of the bag, you will have a small, no smell transportation.
thats a good suggestion MORE, but if the materials arent handy its just not realistic. I just brought it my harvest yesterday. Like i said earlier in thread, I went out with some scissors and a black trash bag. Cut the buds and left enought stem to hang them from and tossed them all in a bag.. rolled it up, and hauled ass for the car. Tossed the bounty in the backseat, and rode out. Luckily my drive home was less than half a mile. Check out my thread. "Hung N Dry" GFAM
I would not trim them first before bring them out of the woods if you are concerned of smell. Ya trim them and they will smell 1000 times more. Too if wait until they are at home ya can trim them better at the dining room table then out in the feild.
Trimming I didnt mean to have him trim in the field.. I meant to remove the buds from the stalk, and pruning any big fan leaves and stems so u can make ur load lighter and so it will take up less space.. I let mine dry first then i get out the scissors to Trim the buds of all leaves. After they are trimmed up nice n perty, I plop em into air tight canning jars to cure for 4-5 weeks. GFAM
It is alot easier to trim the leaves when the plant is still wet. When it is dry it is hard to cut. The leaves that is.
You could do a quick trim and place in the NO smelly bags which are sold many places online and they do mask the smell. Not sure how far of a drive you have tho??? Another thing you could do is place them in the big heavy duty black trash bags and and triple bag locking in the smell as best you can until you get them home to trim. When you triple bag em......bring baby powder to sprinkle in the outter bag you conceal the other concealed double bags in so it will not get on the plants/buds and it is a known fact baby powder or black licorice will mask the scent quite a bit on cured and dried buds. Fresh cut plants are gonna smell more of course but the baby powder is cheap as well as trash bags and will at least cut down on some of the scent. Hope you do not have to drive far. Safe trails home to you~Mermaid
