End of week 4 Bagseed.

How do they look?
4th week into flowering. I think there are a few that look great. but overall so far so good.

I have been watering almost once a day. but every other day. and using a plant food 1/4th- 1 gallon water mix every week.

 

They look good, but you should be using 100% strength nutes now, or at least 50%.

 

Hey RG, what king of plant food are you using? Brand of plant food if you don't mind. The reasons I ask are the tips of his leaves look nute burned.

Was about the say the same. Nice bag seed but they look a little overfed with the burnt tips.


Nutes aren't food. They are vitamins. Extra doesn't make the plant grow faster or better.


Don't water just everyday to water. Let them suck the pot fairly dry 1st. If you run them a little dryer for the rest of flower, they will make more resins n shit to protect itself.

 

the plant food is. Expert Gardner brand All perpose/ water soluble Plant food.


and i water them whenever the pots appear dry, and not as heavy.


other then that I personaly think I have over fed them. And I am watering a little to much. monday starts week5 of flowering. so the next few weeks i am going to hold back on feeding them the plant food to every week. and water them a little less.


but i think they are doing good.

i mentioned just a couple days back elsewhere that ya might try watering with plain water..wait 1/2 hour and then hit em with yer nute mix...i think you will notice the plants liking it a bit better that way...jist try it.

 

They look pretty good there RookieG!:thumbs-up: The overfeeding is just ever so slight, it's not bad at all. I would just do what you already said you were gonna do and just ease up a little on feedings and give a little more plain water in between feedings. I usually only feed once a week at most during flowering myself. The soil will hold some nutes after you feed so giving plain water between feedings is necessary. They look good to me though, I say :good job: to you, and keep it up. It looks like you got some good bagseed there!

 

yea I have collected alot of diffrent kind of strands seeds that I have come across. I still have plenty good stuff seeds left. i have allways smoked good as a kid.

a few questions. I would like to yeild as many times in a year as I can. how do i do that? it takes a long time to grow start to finish. cant i clip a bud off and it will grow back?

 

Yea those plants are looking good! What kinda lights are you using? They seemed kinda stretched. But if you are going to clone the plant now find a nice set of 2-3 nodes from the bottom of the plant with the least amount of bud and clone that. But my suggestion, wait till you harvest don't chop one of them just pick it leave as many leaves on it as possible and re-veg. That means to switch back to the veg light cycle and wait till you get some good growth and then clone. But nice work bro! :bong-2:

 

Get a flower nute now. You don't need anymore Nitrogen. You want the girl to start to slowly begin to yellow over the next month or so. Up the P, lower the N.

 

I am using (15) CFL's and (4) florescent tubes tubes are a 6500k and cfls are 8500k output.


and what kinda nuts should I get for this stage????


also how do I make it so I harvest every 3-4 months on the same plant? or how i go about consistently harvesting every 3-4 months.

Nutes: Look for a Flower or Bloom fert. Something thats very low in N, high in P.


Your CFLs color temp is a little high for flower, but not bad, you got balance with the 6500K and some blues during flower do help.


You kill the girl to harvest her, what you need to do is a perpetual grow. You need to be constantly cloning as well as veging and flower at the same time. You need 2 chambers for this since the lighting times are different. When a girl is harvested, you move your oldest clone into her place and just keep it going.

 

ok good. today is the start of week 5. I have one plant that is 50% amber hairs. its been about 4 days since i last feed the plants so i am just going to cut fertalizing off completely.


now that i have spotted one with over 50% amber hairs do i pull her for harvest or at least wait another 2 weeks to flush the roots of ferts??? as i have hurd is good to do. or will i miss my window??

like the others mentioned, they're not under fed!! we have to remember that just because the moister is gone from the soil doesn' mean the plants have used up the nutes.


but that is some damn good looking shit from bag seed dude!! good job!!


maybe try some bigger pots next time, they won't dry out so quickly.


don't know if i'd stop feeding just yet, i'd wait till te last week or so.

ok so its 2 days into week 5. I had one plant with over 50% of the Tric's amber. and it was a dark amber. so I harvested her. she by the info I have taken in on when to harvest. looked like she was ready. a few pics below.


She was the one that is in the back row with the main cola. you will see her missing from the grop in the old pics.

ok. the next grow I plan on 5 plants. in im thinking 5gal buckets. Should I get a Better light set up? ballest setup? I was thinking about just making a better/wider hood to cover more area. right now all the lights are tight under that hood I have now.


I will also be installing a vent that will exhaust into my attick. as of right now I have the closet door open with a fan blowing at the plants. that needs to change.


other then that I need other things. various thermometers, humidity, Ph balance testoers/ readers. Nut's ect. where do I buy them I know i can get alot of stuff local but what about nut's?

The babies do look fucking enticing and I'd like to reach through this screen and pinch a bud. However, the stretch occurred to me as well. Gotta keep those nodes tight. Still, looks fucking like great smoke.

Na but seriously bro them bagseeds are the shit expecially under them florals with nock off Nute's or fert.'s (thats the way u wanna spell it homie). IMO that plant was atleat 2 more weeks fro harvest bro!!! Thats not a good thing to do bro but ill let u slide this time. ur looking at the hairs/pistols on the buds which is not the crystals. The trich's are the crystals and is what u want to be looking at. There are pics all over this site u should check out. Not bein a dick bro but u could have a way better set up, but remeber u gotta crawl b4 u walk. And i can see ur doin it bro! I made alot of the mistakes u r when i started and hopefully thats y ur here now. Dnt worrie bro were here for u but u gotta :F-A-Q: and check out some of our grows we have goin on now! Shit im runnin a DWC hydro set up for the first time and its doin the damn thang!!!

go to radioshack and get a 100X scope. they're small, it's got it's own light, and only $13. best investment ever (besides a pH pen) so that you harvest at the correct time. 5 weeks is way too early, even for early strains. since it's bag you don't know what strain it is, but from what I've read so far, most of your strains out there are at least 7-8 weeks minimum flower time.


for continual harvest, you need 2 spaces. your light will suffice, but to minimize that stretch, you need to keep the light within a few inches of your plants. it's hard to do when you have plants growing naturally like that, i know. my recommendation - get some clones, first off. maybe fork over some cash for 5 good beans (one with a shorter flower time, even), and make a mother. pull some clones. look into some pruning techniques, such as jogging (easiest technique, IMHO). it's not hard at all, and you end up with buds that are level, so you can get your lights closer to all of the buds, and minimize that stretch.


there's tons of info on here about utilizing what you've got, necessary upgrades, etc. spend a few hours one day combing through old posts and searches, and write shit down. i've done that a few times, and it's been a butt saver for me.
