I'm a dirt guy, but I did one OG in a dwc and damn if it didn't dwarf my other plants. Anyway, I've always flushed with ph balanced RO water only. A friend of mine said he flushes his hydro with black strap molasses and a little organic cal mag added to the water. Just wanted to get other opinions on the best way to flush in hydro.

    Thanks

plain water between 5.5-6.0 is best to flush in hydro with @ 10-14 days IMO

Flush is a flush...no additives....if he is using cal mag it should bea little before flush to increase swelling...as for the molasses isn't that food for benefical bacteria /ot a flushing agent

Stash...I agree. He said molasses improves the flavor. I'm sticking to straight ph'd water. I've only done hydro a couple times. I just think soil tastes better. I'll post a couple pics of the DWC I made. Cheap and easy and the plant exploded.

My hydro gets plain water for the last 14 days. That's it.

I should have clarified that "my friend who" wasn't you Ras. He's a knucklehead that shops at my side job. How's your garden coming along?

I knew you weren't talking about me. I don't do dwc but the flush is the same. Plain Water. I do have some Flora Kleen flushing agent that I never use. The garden is good. Check out my threads.
