Bossman, the point of flushing is to wash the medium of built up salts and other matter, and the roots too. It prevents build up and gives the roots a fresh wash too.

The waste water is dirty, ladden with the unused particles left in the medium.

I kinda thought the answer was no.  Wanted to ask anyway. I have this stuff called "Final Flush" It doesn't say anything about useing it to flush you plants during growth just at the end a week befor harvesting. Should I use that for my weekly flushes?

I think that (final flush) is more of a before harvest treatment to flush the buds of chemicals that are used during the grow. Your not really flushing the plant every week, your flushing your medium and root system so plain water will do the trick. I think it'd be a waste of money to use anything else. [IMG]

Hi bossman, the final flush you are referring to is used at the end of the bloom cycle to rinse out any fert's left. It is used on the last week of flowering and is not meant to be used during regular weekly flushings. It is also meant more for dirt growers than for hydro growers. Hydro growers usually flush with pure water on the last week of bloom.

If you are using chem ferts you could dillute final flush or buy clearex and use every two weeks.Organic ferts need to be flushed less often.Use warm water to flush.
