so anyone who has read one of my posts knows im a brand SPANKING NEW grower attempting my first ever grow. its a closet grow and i finally got it cleared out. have been framing it into 2 seperate areas a veg/mom and a flower. i am recycling the modular storage unit that was in the closet. i will have a flower room that is 2'W x 4.5'L x 7'H and i will be running a 400W HPS i plan on keeping my plants under 3' tall so i have plenty of room for the light. i will vent out the top of the room where there is an 18 inch area of dead space above. the veg room is 2'W x 3'L x 7'H with a shelf positioned aprox 4' high. i will run a 2' x 8 bulb T5 HO for the bottom area which will be my moms. that light puts out 16000 lumen. then im going to run a 2' x 4 bulb T5 HO for the shelf. this puts out 8000 lumen and will be for my clones/ seedlings, and veg. i figure if i veg til the plants reach 18 inches i can then flower them. it is sooooo freakin exciting to finally have the plans worked out and the space just about built. now its just a matter of buying everything i need. and getting seeds. im writting cause i have no other outlet as i am keeping this a secret from everyone except GKers. i know this isnt anything but me shouting out loud to my self but hey someone has to know im making progress right lol thank you for letting my rant a little. now as i think about it has anyone done a side by side comparison of the the same strain using say a basic 2 part grow bloom nute system vs a multi part several step nute program?if so was there a significant difference in yeild or quality? im looking for quality as the main focus. im doing this for me and to share with friends. i have heard success stories using both styles. but havent seen any side by side comparisons. thanks
ok next step is done as i just got a 400w digital balast, Hps bulb, 6" cool tube reflector with external wings, socket and cord, a timer, and a pair of yoyos on ebay for $165.00 im soooo happy. and i posted pics of the grow room so far
