...is it worth it. I've been growing this plant for about eleven weeks. This plant's sister will actually be ready for harvest in a week or so I suspect, so I am really asking myself what-the-fuck at this point. When I say 'abused plant', it had about the worst transplant imaginable: drunk and high I thought it wouldn't be too much of a problem to transplant into used, unwashed coco that was sitting around for a couple of months, when I ran out of the fresh stuff. Pot is a pretty resilient plant, I think these picture testify to that. I flushed the shit out of them, but the roots had already been fucked with. One out of three went on to flower normally. I have another one, with purple wilted sickly branches, that has just started to bud in a number of sights. This plant is incredibly vigorous. It has been 12/12 for about 9 weeks and has been exploding with dense vegetative growth for the whole time, yet remaining more or less the same height the whole time. The shock of the transplant is evident in the ph-twisted leaves. As I said I flushed the shit out of these plants. I damage is done but not necessarily on going as far as I know. Problem is aside, from a from a few white hairs here and there there is no evidence she is going to flower. I tried to 'shock' her into it with a 24 hour black out. She responded positively, but only in terms of vegetative growth. Having put so much time into this plant I would like to flower her, but I'm not sure if that is even possible at this point. The vegetative growth is so dense that bud sights are essentially deprived of light. Not to mention I have no idea where buds could grow, considering the density of leaves and branches. I could set her up in a separate closet with a 11/13 schedule, adjust nutes, etc, but as a nOOb I need some advice. Space in my 12/12 tent will be an issue soon as I have a few too many little ladies approaching transplant time. Advice deeply appreciated.
are you interupting the dark cycle in anyway? give it some time its in her nature to make buds...and since you've put so much time into give her an extra long cure before sampling anything also try giving her a nice hair cut sometimes they like that sort of thing
Is that lady a clone or from seed? make some babies and see how they turn out compared to the sister.
I grew her from seed. As far as I know, the light cycle has been uninterrupted. No hermies to date. This plant's sister from the same pack is just about finished right next to her in the tent. Cloning is an option. I figure if I like the smoke from the finishing plant I could fill my tent with a SOG with clones from this one. On the other hand, the seeds I have on hand will last me years if I start messing with clones. I have Tiki and Sag mixed packs, two packs of white widow crosses, a pack of northern lights and a bunch of Ch9 feminized seeds. Being a nOOb I figured I would mess exclusively with cheap ass seeds for a year or more, get a sense of what I am looking for and then start pollen chucking in earnest.
I dunno... If I had that much time in a plant and could afford the space I'd grow her out. Maybe train her into one cola. With all that root mass and leaf growth think of what you might be able to train her into producing.... ONE massive main cola. Could be some bragging rights developing. cheers,
I'm all about growing her out. I guess my question is, do I just keep doing what I am doing because she inevitably has to flower or should I do something to get the process started.
Yeah I'd say drive on it worked for the others why not this one that ugly duckling just might be a swan afterall..
Just keep her in your normal flower space. Like I said, my vote is to train her into one massive cola. Snip and tie at will to accomplish that task. With her penchant for vegging it would be near impossible to kill her off with aggressive training. Hey!!!!! Maybe Dominatrix could help! Course she would want a safe word and we don't want any of that namby pamby shit.
