here goes my next grow adventure!!!! my first grow was really unorganized/unplanned/whatever you want to call it. we learned a ton about what's best and not so best for us. we decided to try jogging, as well as a little pruning. i'm also using all organic nutes, Alaska brand. one tent we did all jog, to get a nice even canopy. here it is: here's our setup, rocks in the bottom of 5 gal HD buckets, filled with equal parts compost, peat moss, and vermiculite. also mixed in worm castings and dolomite lime. i started with 6 but immediately lost one because it got fried by my heater (another topic soon to come...) here's after 2 weeks after they were fully pinned down all the way around. 600W HPS light. they really jumped in height. here's today, at just over 4 weeks into flower. they're starting to thicken up a little bit. this is the tent i've had so many spider mite issues in.... i just emptied a whole bottle of Garden Safe pyrithrin between the tents. so that's my jogging adventure. i like how even the canopy is, makes for better light for all buds. no large colas though, but hopefully this will minimize that stupid popcorn bud at the end. here's my other tent. we started flowering here a week earlier. in here i just pruned the bottom few rows of buds off at the beginning few weeks of flower. i was trying to see if by doing so i would concentrate more nutes & energy upwards, and from the looks of these suckers, it works. i'm really happy with the way these main colas look - they are only 6 weeks (11 week flower time) and they are already getting PHAT. :growin: not nearly as bad of an infestation in this tent, just mild, and i spray these down the same as the other. i have a total of 6 plants in this one, 5 big ones, and my little mother plant, thrown in as an afterthought. (i'm going out of town for work, and will not be able to keep her, so i have to start from scratch again.) so, that's what i've been up to lately. i learned a lot from my first disaster/go-around, and i hopefully will not repeat the same mistakes twice! (just find new ones, ha ha!) thanks to all those who have helped me get here, and thanks for checking in on me! peace GTWT :XXhippylove:

LOL, sorry about the jogging mixup!!! (hey, it made you look, though, huh??) here's what keeps me really jogging - he's always down to go for a run, or bike ride, or anything to keep me moving! thanks for all the support guys and chicks, it means a lot! i'm so excited for this grow, i can't wait to see how it turns out peace GTWT :XXhippylove:
latest and greatest here's an update on my ladies: my jogging tent is 8 weeks into flower. these plants have seriously taken a beating. i had so much trouble with mites in this tent, i thought i would lose them all, but they are all still here. (thanks to bud & referring no pest strips!) i've also had problems with wild temps. that's what i get for trying to grow in a shed, huh? between those two issues, i've had a lot of leaves dry up and fall off, but my buds and the new growth still look good, so i'm still truckin. i expect 4-5 more weeks on these guys. the temps are starting to drop again, and it seriously slowed down growth last time, i expect it to do the same this time. here's a closeup of one of my healthier plants.... here's my other tent. these i just pruned the bottom, kind of an experiment between the two tents. i wanted to see the difference between the jog, a bunch of even-ish buds, and the big fatty colas. (really, i just wanted to see some big donkey dick buds.....) it's hard now to compare the two, because this tent has fared much better with the mites and temp fluctuations. regardless, i'm really happy with how these are looking. i've lost some leaves from the stress, but not a ton like the other tent. these are almost all milky, i expect they will be ready for the chopping block 2-3 weeks. i'm excited to see how much just one of those fatties weighs - i've never first hand had a bud that big.... (no dirty comments, please!) nice and fat another fatty...this one has the best looking frost/trichs i thought this was a pretty closeup. maybe i'll get a 'real' light pic of it, instead of the stupid yellow hps... i feed them Alaska flower nutes every other water (so every 6 days). i've also given them some molasses, and nitrogen a couple of times, just for overall plant health, since some of them are not the greatest. i don't think i've had much problem with nutes this go-around, since i've been checking pH and actually following a schedule! i've just had damage from the heat/mites. well, that's it for now, thanks for looking! peace GTWT :XXhippylove:
Things look like they are coming along very nicely for you. Good looking buds forming up on those girls. :good job: :droooling:
I agree with RasGanJah, your plants definitely have some nice looking budz showing up. I'm anxious to see how these turn out. Thanks for sharing. Hey GTWT . . . I was checking out your pic and noticed something sort of alarming . . . Looking at your four fingers holding the cup, I see that your pinkie finger is just a little longer than your other fingers. WTF? Is that an illusion created by the pic, or do you have mutant fingers? No offense intended and I hope this isn't some sort of birth defect that your struggled with your entire life . . . sort of like "Radar" from MASH.:rofl6: God, I hope it's just an illusion, otherwise I'm an ass for commenting on your "freak of nature" fingers. I was just curious . . . Please don't be offended.
Nice work. Due to limited space, I had to JOG and haven't looked back. It seems to em the best way to maximize the horrzontal space also. I hope that they come out killer for you.
:rofl6: :rofl6: :rofl6: holy shit rky i think i almost pissed myself!!!! i must be holding the cup with my middle fingers and my pinky is sticking out. i assure you, i don't have short mutant middle fingers. see??? thanks for stopping in! peace GTWT :XXhippylove:
OK :rofl6: See, you took this all wrong . . . I wasn't saying you have mutant short middle fingers . . . I thought you had a mutant LONG pinkie finger! Like a big long strange finger your always bumping into things and spilling things with.:rofl6:
