Now my girls have been flowering for 7 1/2 weeks and look really good under a 400 wat hps the top bud is about 8 inches long and fat all the white hairs are going back in the bud and are almost 75% orange red now (only on the top bud) the lower buds are still crystily but still have white hairs on them about 1/4 inch long white hairs some turnin red ,,,,,i dont know the strain but i think it is citris skunk,,,,,, should i pull em or should i wait !!!! I sampled and it is good smoke !! but i dont know if i should pull or not .... any help would be awesome!! thank you
I would just cut the the parts off that are done.. And hang them upsidedown for a week. By doing that your bud will dry quicker and the smaller buds can have more time to mature. It is a good method.. It is called cola harvesting,and it works great. Hope I help.. See ya.
thanks for the answer but Should I take the top bud off then and leave the ones that are still white on the plant ? Now will that ruin the palnt or will it be ok ? also when is it a good time to pull is it when the hairs go red 75% on the bud ,,,,right ? thanks again man
You can trim the top colas and not effect the plant. You can even reveg the plant after harvest. Wait for the lower buds to fully mature before harvesting. A jewelers loop or small microscope can help you when deciding to harvest.
yea cut the branches that have buds with hairs that are 75% orange. It wont messs your plant up at all... Then agin wait until the smaller buds are 75% done. THIS WAY IS THE BEST WAY TO HARVEST... let me know how things turn out.. PEACE
Trichomes Don't go by hair color, go by trich color. Get a $10 lighted microscope at Radioshack or E-Bay.
