I'm looking for comments, pro's and cons, suggestions, etc.... I'm building a cabinet for mother plants. I want to go with flouros for the heat issue and since i dont plan on flowering with this I just need some thing to maintain 2 maybe 3 moms. I've narrowed it down to these 2 lights. A hydrofarm compact floerescent combo system or the New wave T5- 2'. If anyone has had experience with these let me know what you think. Both products are in the link.THANKS >PEACE .

    lights

I have always used HID lighting due to the high lumen output per watt of consumed power.

Also they are cheap if you go to an electrical supply house. I would never buy lighting from a grow store.

So is heat your only consideration? you can get a 240cfm blower for $100 and a

air coolable reflector for about $70.

I dont like to waste money , so if you feel you can reapply this lighting somewhere

else in the future maybe it will not be a waste. Else , if you can deal with the heat and

have the space , do your self a favor and get a MH ballast and bulb.

Like i said i'm only going to use this to maintain 2-3 mother plants. so i don't really see a need for HID's. plus i dont know shit about wiring lights so i'd rather buy something that is UL listed just for the piece of mind.

lights are UL listed or they could not be sold ... at least in the US.

Ballast can be somewhat of a pain in the ass , but if you plan on being an indoor grower

you might want to look into them. If you must , you can always buy one from like

    hydrofarm that is prewired.

    good luck,
