has anyone tried this bulb?

    i have been running mh for both cycles and have been told and also ive read that the hps is better for the bud cycle...question is i am buying a 400w hortilux hps conversion bulb from discount hydro.com...is that a good idea? anyone ordered from there? and further more is it worth it in the end? tks

    never ordered from that site. but will the hps be worth it in the end over using mh for the full cycle? that would be a yes

    I think of MH as Spring time light and HPS as Fall.


    Yes you can do a cycle with either.


    But most stick with HPS..


    The only thing I remember about conversions is a loss of wattage...


    I may be wrong.. My memory fades ya know...

    yea i think your right randy. The conversion 400w bulbs aren't quite as intense as a straight up 400w hps light/ballast combo. But i think its still going to do justice compared to flowering under mh
