Are these nannners? I wasnt sure if this was new bud developing or nanners. So I freaked out and pulled them off with tweezers. Any help on if this is hermie would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
really? you just made me feel so much better! I plucked that thing of in the pic, what do you think it was? I thought this plant was going to be male because it was bagseed and it was way taller then the rest of its family. Also it seems to be stretching so much. This one took a week longer then the others to show its sex. Here are a couple pics. Do you think it is stretching? Then there is this plant! I really like this one for some reason. Ever since I started flowering It started spiking like this when I feed it. Everytime I feed in less then an hour her leaves spike straight up. Only on this plant, is this a good thing? Because to me it looks happy when she does that.
Patience is a virtue they say! I just hope these will be successfull plants, first off they are bagseed, I started outside for about 1 1/2 months then moved to growlux 400 watt flourescents and now they are under a 1000 watt mh. Thanks for your advice, this site took along time to allow me to post. I think I like this site better then the more populated ones.
Hey Mate , i hate to say that the top plants has a mean stretch. What kind of light are you using? the bottom plant looks healthy and how it should. Might want to add more light.
Well, you did the right thing! IMHO... That looks exactly like a male flower, just before it opens....and in the exact right place To my only partially trained eyes :icon_confused: What else could that be, ppl? :icon_scratch: Then again, the pic's kinda fuzzy...as is my brain.... :fly:
They are all under a 1000 watt metal halide, thats why I dont understand the stretch, it wasn't like this until i started 12/12 on the 1st of september. In 22 days the plant has grown just about 2 feet. Is that wierd or what, the others are in the same room and same light but havent stretched at all. Somebody told me that these type of plants can grow up to 4 times there veg size in flowering is that true?
I hope me and you are wrong, but i think it could be nanners. I will wait and see if more pop up and try to get better pics.
hey mate, yea it sucks. When i was just starting indoor i used to just use bagseeds and the thing was they were fine untill you budded them and then the unstable genetics come in , as with ur stretchin gal there. Its probally unstable sativa genetics making her stretch like crazy ...
I do have a suggestion that may help you. Look in to bending/lst training. I cannot see growing and not doing it.
I agree... it would def assist with lessening the stretch of your plants, and even out your canopy, among other things. Good Luck! -LM
Yeah I was thinking of doing that, but I don't have any height issues or space issues. I just have the others sitting on things to raise them up to the height of the other plant. One is on a cooler one is on a potty trainer (dont ask) and the other is on a crate. Does this plant look more sativa or indica?
You do have height issues. You have plants sitting on a potty chair. LOL The plant in the photo. The branch tips are at different heights by as much or more then a foot. If they were grown to the same height they would get equal amounts of light. Its probably sativa.
Yes, I will tie her down when she wakes up just for you guys! I come here for assistance then I just blow you guys off, I better listen! lol. should I bend her right under the light. I was wondering if my bulb could be losing its lumens, it was a hand me down from a retired grower and it has flourished many crops already do you think this may be the stretching problem? Here Is a pic and dont laugh at my homemade hood.
Your light has seen its better days. I replace lights every 2 crops. What kind of ballast do you have (is it switchable?) If its switchable go pick up a hortilux super hps you'll be glad you did.
It was just a hand me down but, I was just making a list of things I could get to make my 2nd go a little stronger and a new bulb is a definite thing on there. I just couldnt afford a new ballast I am currently laid off. I should be getting a call back anyday now though. Here is a pic not sure if it is switchable. I need whole new game plan, I will be going to the indoor sun shop for soil and nutes next time. Along with no more bagseed.
The ballast is fine. Just after soooo long it's time for a new bulb. Tieing the plants down to even out the canopy will make better use of the light and get you more bud. cheers,
Okay, I would say that I have 2 hermies out of 4 plants. I have plucked off about 4 of these bannana football looking mofo's. What should I do? Should I remove and terminate them to save the other 2? Or should I just ride it out and keep plucking them? I have plenty of time on my hands because I am laid off. So I am able to check them pretty consistently. I would hate to remove them then find out the other 2 are hermie also. I am so dissapointed right now. Can my hermie still produce good nuggies? How would it compare to mids? Or plain jane canadian? AHHHHHHHHHH!!! WTF Do I do? I have smoked some pretty high quality stuff before that had seeds in it. I did not have very many seeds maybe 5 or six in a half ounce. Would that weed be considered a hermie? I mean was the plant that it came from be a hermie since there were seeds? Here Is a pic that I got of these nads growing off my plant, Im just looking for a positive that they are pollen sacs. When I break them open I dont see any yellow or white pollen just kind of juicy. My camera sucks which I don't know why because its new and it 8.1 megapixel, unless its me. When I pull these off some of them have white pistils in them. Thats why im so confused. The one the left looks like it may have opened.
