i wanna see this kief box herb. is it in your garden?


check out this box i scored. all hand made and each one is unique in the wood patterns he uses. the underside of the top has a little sanded indentation for holding bud/kief while rolling a joint, etc. the glass plate slides into grooves to fit perfectly under the screen.


i couldn't believe this dude only wanted a quarter for this thing, i think i gave him a 20 gram quarter. i tried to get him to do them for sale but he didn't want to. the thing is top notch.

Here's mine Webby. A bit different, but very effective. That was the first one I made and have since improved this design. I have my G-friends and will post some detailed pics of it too when I get them loaded.





DnC I have no more of them made right now, and I sold the one in the pic to a friend. I am working on a new design and will let you see some pics when it is done. These are a wee bit small for my liking so I am going for something bigger more in a rectangle shape as the one Webby has. Of course I will put my own spin on things... These I made with tile lids, but I also made some with wood lids that were much better. I will have wooden lids on the new ones and change a few details. I've seen them with glass for the catcher, however I like the black tile better. Less chance of breakage. That was my secret I was keeping and planned on showing everyone when I was finished. I guess you drug it out of me DnC....

 

Ok this is my G-friends...IOW "not for sale!" She would have my nuts and I am not willing to part with them at this moment... This was special made for her.

 

Nice work man...Sure wish I had half the tools I had before, I used to love to work with wood, then some little prick broke into my garrage and made off with most of my good stuff. It took me almost 20 years to collect everything I had and he probibly sold then for an eighth...


Anyways...just wanted to say I like your gf's box Herb, laterz...

I've been looking pretty hard for a kief box lately.I found this one on ebay that i was watching but i believe the screen is at the very top which i don't like.The picture was hand burned which had to take some time.Right now it's at 68.00.

 

That's nice GT. Why in the world would they put the screen atthe top? Makes no sense....?

 

That's what i thought, maybe i'm looking at it wrong.Looks kinda like the screen is at the top but it's so light colored it's hard to tell.

 

Looking at it closely I see that the screen is low in the box. Very deceiving at first. HEY! I finally came up with a final idea on my box guys! Thanks GT for that pic. It sparked an idea in my head. Anyway I thought I would share with yall where I do my work. It is an Okie setup, but it is all I could work with. Have a look....

Man I love the herb! I have it all worked out in my head now and I am going to start the "Next Generation" of Keif boxes. Simple and effective, yet I can add my own style to them. I am stoked! I love new ideas....

 

herb i like your design much better. everything from the tile to catch the kief to the way the top fits. if i leave mine sitting out it screams "open me" the way yours fits together and how the top is recessed it looks more like a decoration and less like something to open. specially if you put something on it (small plant, small lamp, clock, ash tray, cup, etc). ok so can i talk you into making kief boxes for fun and profit...after you make DNC's of course


is that license plate real? how old? do you need to blur it out? just my healthy dose of paranoia talking.

 

LOL! The plate is old, but real. You think I should fuzz it out? Came off my old muscle car... Sure you can talk me into making more.... Just started the new box today. I think I'm moving away from the tile though. Too many obstacles to overcome making a bigger box, but I may have multiple sizes and the smaller ones will have the tile. I'll be sure to show some pics as soon as it comes together.

Dewalt make some kick ass tools and I try not to buy anything else. Those keif boxes are bloody creative, you definately have to talent to turn a paice of wood into somethin beatifull. Have you ever tried to make a chess board and peices?

i look forward to pics of the new design. a mirror works great as the kief catcher and most mirror glass is stronger than the clear stuff in the box i have.

Thanks Jay....As a matter of fact I did make a chess board, but not the pieces. I have made many many things BTW. 2 entertainment centers, coffee tables, sofa table, butcherblock table, grandfather clock, all sorts of boxes, windchimes,candle holders, etc etc etc....I forget some of the rest. I love to build things.... Dewalt is the ****! I wanted small portable tools that are good quality and Dewalt delivers.
