Here on the East Coast you can plant that baby now.. Around here we do not harvest until late Sept ...sometimes early October depending on how far along. Guess it depends where you live .....if your in another country then you may be approaching winter? Here in the U.S......I see no problem planting a clone now. Happy Growing ....good luck with the clones and be safe!!
I'm still placing clones outdoors. Will be for another 2-3 weeks. Our 12 hour sun cycle hits late September.
I know i can plant cones now, and im from the Mid-west/northern area of the states and yes the flowering cycle starts about mid aug. and harvest is mid oct. I was just wondering if anyone has planted clones even after july 4th and still produced a couple good oz's. Thanks for the input so far!assit:
Pull up a solunar table (type sunset sunrise schedule and your state into google). You can find a table that will tell you when nature switches to 12/12. Count backwards for veg time. That will give you your latest planting date. Here, if I want a two month veg plants must be in the ground by July 15. To account for transplant shock my latest plant date is July 1. Hope it helps.
I live way up north like 47 degrees north and I've had my plants out sence the beginning of may. They have survived below 0 degrees C. they have survived frost. and get this they have been snowed on too. Thats BC genitics for ya. If you want to see pics I'll post at a later date in the outdoor forum. till then
Alot of the Pakistani and Afghan strains are supposed to be able to handle snow and repeated frosts. I'm in MN and we put some Mazar-i-Sharif in late. Hoping to be able to harvest those in late Nov. with snow being a possibility. cheers,
personally the lastest i would start an outdoor grow is around the middle of july, or they will just end up not gettin big enough to be worth all the work imoassit:
assit: well im in Wis. and thx for everyones input! Hope this thread helps out a couple other people with the same question!
Swed- not my thread dude....just an information exchange now. I'm not a pro outdoor guy. First natural garden in years but I know a few things. In Minnesota my drop dead date for planting is July 15. All clones or seedlings MUST be ready to survive outdoors with only weekly attention by that date. That leaves 65 days before daylight drops below 12 hours and around 45-50 days before onset of flower. Anything less isn't worth my time and I will get better production under lights. Simply look in a solunar table for your region, find the date at which daylight drops below 13 hours and count backward for your desired vegging period. The late harvest is an attempt to replicate the natural coloration that occurs in regionally grown Mazar. Not to produce a larger harvest or affect potency. The plant is purported to be frost resistant and turn a blood red after exposure to extreme cold. If it works it will be a staple for any northern outdoor grow as far as I'm concerned. The only early drawback is my garden location. The Mazar apparently does not like damp humid areas. I'm just inside the border treeline of a wetland. It's fighting me every step of the way while the rest of the girls are happy. If I could do it over I would have put the Mazar-i-Sharif high and dry in full baking sun. Oh well....next year. no pics...the landowner will not allow pics from his property to be posted and I intend to respect his wishes. If they do turn blood red I will bring home a few of the best and post them up after harvest. cheers, cheers
Well I'm putting 30 out tomorrow we see our first flowers here around late July early Aug. I have had my plants growing outside in my back yard for the last 2weeks they are between 6"-18" in height now. They will have another 4wks veg time I expect them to be about 3.5ft tall in 4wks. The strain I am growing takes 8wks indoors but only 6wks outdoors to mature so I should be ready to harvest the 2nd-3rd week of Sept. I will also be putting 10 hindu kush and 10 POG in a local corn field in aprox 2wks these strains mature even faster so should be ready around the same time as my first 30 or maybe even sooner.
