Technicly, you can flower straight from seed for a very small low yeilding plant. However, the right thing to do would be to wait until the plant has alternating rather than parallel nodes. Parallel - Alternating - Most plants should be alternating by about a month of veg. It is an indication of maturity.
Yeild will be fine,IME!!! (In My Experience) But that's Bollox sweetheart...lol, 12/12-ing strait from seed, does'nt just ONLY give you a very small plant with not a great yeild at all, infact it can be very much the opposite, as I PERSONALLY do this MOST of the time, and im coming off with around 3-4 Oz per Plant...... 2 weeks vegging at the MOST i do personally, and this is with 2 diferent strains im going on about(Even though it is sometimes RECOMENDED to do so, and vegg for that lil extra for some certai types of strains) But, IMO, this is a good and FAST way to produce some real good BUD , that bit earlier , than when vegging longer, and the yeild, ok, it may be lesser slightly than a hugely vegged(as in a month or 2 of vegging) plant. But IME(In My Experience) it pays in time and energy saving aswel, to just go strait 12/12 if you got a strain that will accept that cycle and MOST will, some just ONLY need a lil extra vegg time, like,E.G, 2 weeks tiops, then strait Flowering can begin!!! This is all based on MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCES, so it CAN be done, as has been done MANY a rime By myself and MANY mANY others too!!! When you say from seed you mean never having the plants on a 24/0 cycle? Starting right on a 12/12 from germination??? Not for nothing but cutting down on total time, size (I have a small grow space) and power is well worth taking a hit on yeild. how much total time from seed to finish are we talking for indicas starting them off like that? 4-z's is still a killer yeild. Could the Widow yeild that well on a 12/12 from seed? She is not known for big yeilds to begin with...
i grew a plant stright 12/12 from seed. it was an outdoor plant that was started in the fall. it took a littleover 3months from start to chop. got about a half ounce of quality herb. was my first grow too. bagseed with miracle grow. wasn't the best first harvest, but it did the job and i smoked my very own herb.
vegging from 2-4 weeks is probably your best bet. if you can, wait for the nodes to alternate. if not, let us kno how it works out
