Did you guys know that in Swizterland everybody joins the military and does there service at one point or the other? After they are finished they get to keep their rifle and there pistil. That means that every citizen has a gun pretty much and they have the least murders and shootings. Pretty crazy stuff. It is because they are all trained to use a weapon properly!


I'm from a family that loves there guns and has very many options of fire power. From a 12 guage street sweeper to a 6 guage shotgun. Shit my dad doesn't leave his house without his 44 that has a longer barrel then a dirty harry (he hunts with it LOL). Anyway people just need to be trained better using weapons. My dad made me start hunting classes when I was abou 10 years old, which led to survival school and gun handling school. People need more training before they are allowed to get a permit in my belief and also they should have training before the are even allowed to purchase a gun.

 

I dont see how giving a nutter more training is going to stop them shooting ppl. Granted swizterland may have an entire population armed but the mentality there is much different to most countries. Your lucky.

The UK has to be one of the most violent countries in Europe if not the most, but our murder rate is tiny compare to either Finland or the US. The reason being, is we dont have guns, our cops dont have guns, no one does.

 

And before anyone says it. "the only ppl in the UK with guns must be criminals" yes your right. Getting a gun in the UK is piss easy and cheap. The thing is, is that as soon as you use one your the main target for the entire country.


There are VERY few murders in the UK that are carried out by guns that actually get away with it. Its a minimum of 5 year for just having one. You'll not get 5 year though unless your a 10 year old girl

 

Wow no guns at all? Is it illegal to own one? I back the 2nd ammendment fully. And I agree you should have to take a training course BEFORE purchasing a weapon. Now thats not going to stop some nutjob from killing anyone like Skuzzi pointed out, but at least those owning a firearm will no how to properly handle it. The crime in the UK is a lot more low level. I know of maybe 5 ppl who have been killed in my area in the last 5 years. I bet you could find 50 in the same population in the US.


We dont have a complete ban. Farmers etc can have shot guns but have to jump through hoops to get them.


Vermin control, hunters (it has to be your job) can have rifles. Bigger hoops though!


Hand gun and revolvers are completely banned.

 

Im not necessarily saying its a bad thing, so please dont take me wrong. And yeah I dont know ANYONE thats been murdered with a firearm. Lived in the states my whole life and met LOTS of people. But yes it does happen, also stabbings and hit and runs. You cant win em all. Peace


Edit: No I havent lived in an unarmed community. I bet it creates alot more mellow of an atmosphere. And I think atmosphere has alot to do with crime and attitude.

 

Im not from Swizterland but I work with a guy from there that went through the Germans invasion. He has some pretty wicked stories though. He said they make everybody see when there neighbor was being killed for either being a jew or helping the jews. They would literally have everybody from the neighborhood come watch there fellow neighbor be killed somebody they knew their whole life), as a scare tactic. He has some of the craziest stories that make me think I don't have it as bad as I think I do. I know his story's are all true too, one time has started crying and shit. Man, I didn't really know what to say. He starts these story's all by himself too, becuase I sure in the hell don't bring it up and make him think of that shit.


Around my neighborhood there are alot of gangs and every friday or saturday there is a shooting within a mile or so. One time me and my girlfriend heard three close gunshots inour hottub. She freaked!! I said "well at least they were not shooting at us" I got her to calm down she got back in then they shot again it was pretty funny shit. We always have fucking helicocksucker's f over our house too. I cant wait to move somewhere quiet. I love my backyard though because it is so secluded with a huge 12' hedge all the way around and its big!

It is sad indeed but I too feel that guns are only dangerous when in the wrong hands and even if you ban them, usually the thugs or idiots will have them to use so I too agree in the 2nd amendment.

Also I would like to add, even if they have NO guns, if someone is mentally ill, on drugs or a gang, a fucktard and monster......no matter what they will kill people for how many times do you hear about a man or yes woman strangling, using knives and any object to kill a person??


I would like to see stricter laws on letting the mentally ill or someone with a record or history to be able to purchase a gun. Yes they can obtain them on the streets but there are gun shops that IMO need to do a better background check on an individual who has been clinically diagnosed with depression or other issues. Of course HIPPA laws would make it hard to find out but in those cases, there should be some ongoing list for a person who has recently become depressed. Yes most can overcome it, but until they do>>no guns for those to purchase. Just look at the dude from VA Tech......his entire family knew, a couple teachers and so on....yet he was able to buy one. Just my 2 cents is all.....makes no difference for as if someone wants you dead, they can find a weapon or even their bare hands to carry it out.

In my 33 years 20 of it was being in a gang but dont get me wrong i didnt go out looking for trouble trouble found me.


Ive been shot 3 times and stabbed once did i ask for it no i just lived in the wrong place, and some of you might say will you didnt haft to go that route. Trust me when you live in a area where police dont give a shit then 1 or two things is gonna happen.


You gonna grab some heat or join a neighbor hood gang and protect whats yours period, and thats what me and my friends did.


And when news got around that we wasnt gonna take nomore shit all that BS stopped, and even now i still carry my 45 loaded to the brim wit slug, hollow point, slug.

But back on topic when it comes to someone killing a loved one thats F-UP my wife lost 2 sisters to a punkass bitch, over being hella jealous, and the F-UP thing about it was he thought his wife was missing around on him, and she wasnt.


He shot her with a 380 point blank and when the other sister was trying to get away with there new born the mutherfucker shot her and she died on the steps of her daddys front porch.....


And check this this bitch was a pastor he was in church and everything grew up in church.....ima stop there because it brings back hella feelings.

Wow.....so sorry for all the loss you suffered my frd. You made very valid points and in all honesty I can see why you did seek protection from a gang to make it stop for your right, some people have to live where it is NO not safe which is why banning guns is not the solution.


And like you also pointed out which is what I said as well.....they can stab or use any means to take a life if they truly want you dead. Which is why maybe "an eye for an eye" IMO works best for if they know when they kill, they will die for their crime.....would make them think twice before committing the crime for no many are ever worry about the death penalty and know they will only serve jail time. I do not know what the answer is, yes I know many of you are against the death penalty and sure I am not stupid and also know many people were killed from it when they were innocent so maybe it does boil down to the police and then on up to higher courts. You have just as many good cops as bad cops, just like good and evil in people too. I just think if a person steals, cut off one finger and yada but hey just my opinion for we all have one. Only thing with that theory, it would have to be documented and proven for we also know some get away with crimes where as other's are set up so maybe my opinion is not that great when you think about it.

The bill of right is held tightly to the hearts of americans. Its like the bible to christians. Americans are brought up being bombarded daily with how great these rights are. 90% of americans will support the 2nd. Its like a religion!


As for ppl killing with other means if they want to kill ppl, your right. If someone plans to murder someone they will make sure they do it. There is VERY few ppl that plan to murder someone. Id say 80% or more of ppl how are killed by another persons hand were not planned.


Most ppl kill in the heat of the moment. They kill with what ever is at hand. Ashtray, knife or gun. If guns are not readily at hand they dont get used. Its much easier to fix a stab wound than a missing head from a point blank shotgun lol.


If your gun is in the cupboard you can get it in seconds. If you have to dig it up from under the tree in the back garden theres a good chance you will carm down before you can get it!
