after some searching around i found that most people believe that aero would be the easier of the hydro vs aero.

so for a first time grower aero is NOT the way to grow?

i was looking at the Aero Machine Aeroponic Hydrogardens by American Agritech its fairly cheap and i only want to grow 1 - 3 plants at a time max. so i was going to go with there 4 cup unit. i was going to also use a 400watt hps heliux-(sp) lamp.

but after reading what everyone is saying i dont think this would be the best way to go anymore.

so if u guys can help a n00b out.

Hey man aero is alot more work than just a basic bucket system if this is your first time experimenting with hydroponics I really suggest you start off with alot simpler system, I have been using hydroponics for 6 years and still learning, but I am all for hydro - good luck

areo is easy, but hydro prolly more noob friendly, a DWC system is the most noob friendly hydro setup i can think of [IMG]

Hey man just talking from experience on the hydro setup and from what I have seen from the aero tables - If could offer you one word of advice - sounds like your going aero - do not go the cheap way on the plumbing supplies and buy quality product - you can build your own aero system with a fraction of the cost that it would take you to buy it commericially - hey buddy take it easy and good luck - And by the way Greengrowhydro I would like to speak to you in the chat room for a sec... What is a DWC system, and whats a NOOB - Peace brother

Aero Machine Aeroponic Hydrogardens by American Agritech:

here is a link to what it looks like and here is the description of it.

The Aero Machines are the leading brand in low cost, high quality aeroponic hydrogardens. Available in 4 sizes and configurations to fit any size space. Aeroponics is one of the fastest plant cultivation methods to grow vegetables, herbs, flowers and houseplants due to the high level of dissolved oxygen to the root zone.

The Aero Machine utilizes a micro hydro-spinner to deliver a highly oxygenated mist of nutrient solution to the bare roots of plants. The plants are grown in net baskets containing a plastic rootguard lid to block out light into the net basket and the nutrient solution. The net basket sits in a hole drilled out in the Aero Machine lid. The lid contains a knob to allow for easy inspection of the root zone by lifting the lid. Growers can also utilize expanded clay grow rocks in the net baskets for added plant support and stability.

Aeroponics is one of the fastest plant cultivation methods to grow vegetables, herbs, flowers and houseplants due to the high level of dissolved oxygen to the root zone. Plants will achieve an increase in water and nutrient uptake over conventional soil gardening methods. Soil tends to bind up crucial minerals and therefore plants tend to expend a lot of energy pulling the minerals away from the positive ions such as clay in the soil. With aeroponics, the cation exchange is neutral for optimum nutrient uptake and accellerated growth.

    Dimensions:
