does it pay to be nice to people?

a "friend" asked if she could grow one of my arctic sun's in her outdoor garden. i had always grown it indoors, and it was one powerfully super-dooper plant inside, so i gave her one to grow.

she trimmed the hell out of it as it was trying to grow and she buried it in a container so the roots weren't allowed to spread. then she complains that it only produced an ounce of buds!

and now the coup d'gras ... she decided that because it didn't produce much, she would just keep it all for herself. even the leaves that i told her i wanted for making butter.

and now i have none. come on karma, please bite her in the butt for me.

 

Karma may be slow in getting back to the person, but it always comes around Mary.

And after hearing your stories, I'm getting kinda sketched out about helping my buddy with his first grow. I'm also helping a good friend start up, very similar to Resin's story. Helping him clean and build the box. Will lend him my spare HPS and exhaust fan, and probably provide seeds or clones too. If this comes back to bite me in my ass I'll be thinking..."shoulda listened to them old heads, they know how it goes". Good thing this friend is a extremely loyal and generous soul, hopefully it stays that way after his first harvest too

Mary, Karma will eventually do it's thing and it will get her with her own negativity magnified by many times. She'll be asking herself, what did I do to deserve this?, You screwed a friend that tried to help you out, that's what, now reap what you have sown.


RR that is messed up brother! I remember you telling that story once before. What a prick that guy is, especially seeing as how you were just busted by the cops! I would have just given you 1/2 of what I had on hand. My best friend and I have a rule. If I have something, and you need something I'll give you half, and visa versa. It always works out for us. What good is it to have a lot of something and someone else has none and you show selfishness by keeping it to yourself or by charging a friend for it, well then IMO you just showed that you're no friend at all.

 

If i give something to someone i expect nothing in return, but i rarely give anyone anything. I state my price at the start.


I would be pissed that a friend of mine could be that tight though. It would be duelly noted and id spend every second with them trying to burn the tight bastard!

Guy steals a gun out of my shop True here say in about 9 months of the investigation I find a guy that says he bought it from the guy that stole from me But he had sold it to the guys brother earlier this year. he found out brother took it where it went and got rid of that so i wouldn't find it i'm this guys grower( medical cannabis) anyway when he renewed his card he put me down as is grower again what is card expired i told him i didn't wanna grow for him anymore any still puts me down it is grower i didn't sign any papers but still he puts me down on the renewal form so while he is renewing his card i find the end of the trail of evidence that points to him as the person who steals my firearm so needless to say i telling kick rocks i don't put in a cutting down i don't start anything for him

So this guy Calls the cops Tell him i'm not giving his medicine Explain the situation they count every plant and find out that i have 4 cards going and only plants growing for 3 they tell him that I am under limit the amount of plants that he is allowed so he complains to dhs department of human services( they are in charge of the oregon medical marijuana program) i informed them what's going on they tell me i can't get rid of him as a patient he has to move his card meantime in all this bullshit he sends me a bunch of text messages so i tricked him into admitting to selling a gun and his brother buying 1 his friend modifying it with a silencer he and his brother are both convicted felons and a sprint is on probation so now when the sheriff showed up i showed them my cell phone text messages all 3 of them were arrested on felony charges due to his cell phone text they are admissible in court the 1 buddy snitched on a 2 brothers to keep from going back to prison so without them admitting in court that they stole my gun i have no proof that is mine so i get the proof the serial number from the original owner where he bought it his wife gave me the gun when he passed away. i can't get back anymore they informed me that because it was used during a crime i can't get it back and it's been modified it has to be destroyed not only did i lose a gun i lost a momento of a friend i had sheriff's office in every orifice of my asshole and my house. my friend the sheriff said don't worry i'm totally in compliance in following the rules now this guy is trying to figure out how to get cuttings from me psp error body that knows me he has even been plotting to steal my plants he wants this strain i have my afghani sativa mix and this is nowhere near the end of it all i'm actually thinking of shutting down shop totally and moving everything out to my buddies farm so needless to say i'm really pissed:321fu: i guess that comes with having the best weed in the territory at least that's what i'm told i feel it's just a strain

 

Some people are just selfish. In your case I think karma has already started to work its magic, marymary. It sounds like she just lost a great friend in you. At the very least she prematurely cashed in all future favors from you. I'm really sorry she was such a bitch! I don't understand how anyone could be so thoughtless to someone so generous.


I'm in a not-so-similar situation with my current boss. As Useless said, karma can be sloooowwwwww, and I'm getting impatient. Temptation is giving me some great ideas to speed up the process. There are just a few things standing in the way. I haven't found a new job yet. I haven't won the lotto yet. My conscience tells me it's a bad idea to possibly ruin someone's career, even if the hypocrite really deserves it. :frustrated:

 

I tried, I really did, but I still got lost about halfway through this. I think the guy stole your gun. He's a big dick and kind of an idiot. Cops arrested him because text messages are evidence. You never got your gun back. Is that close?


Moral of that story: never put anything in writing (including text messages!) unless you don't mind sharing it with LEO.

Unfortunatly all it takes is one asshole to make you adjust your thinking. If I consider you a friend, I'll give you or help you with whatever I can. Hell, the end 2008 I gave my best friend a 1973 HD Shovelhead so he had something to ride. He had to do a little bit of work to it since it had been sitting for a couple of years (he can fix anything! I broke down on the highway and he fixed my bike with shit found on the side of the road!) and all I asked was for him not to sell it without contacting me first. The last 10 years or so I haven't seen him much, but he's still my best friend. I've always have passed out 1/4z's to people that needed it and couldn't afford it or just couldn't find any and thankfully they have recipricated(sp).

We feel your pain mary, We know you are pissed but it is probably as dissappointing as anything to you that a friend would do that.


We had a friend that we shared some meds with, free of course. Later on when we had to shut down for security reasons and needed to make a buy, my friend was there for me - he sold us an ounce that was a quarter short. when we got home and weighed it we called him, he first could not believe it (pretended to anyway) then promised to make it up "when he got right money wise" We said no thanks, we just wont deal that way anymore PERIOD. So now when the cupboard is full and he asks, We remind him that our friendship does not go in that direction again - EVER


long story here mary to make a point that for a small price, you identified a non-true friend and you can handle their ass like a true NON-FRIEND.
