So i ordered (2) 5 packs of the church feminized and i got 6 males and 4 females?!?! i think they sent me regular seeds so i wrote them an email over a week ago and no response. oh well i guess. But another question i have is that i am in week 4 of flowering and i accidentally turned the light on yesturday when it wasnt supposed to be on so my babies got approx 20 hrs of light yesturday. whats the chances of a hermie?? thanks
I hate to see an unanswered post... But I will preface with the, I don't know for sure statement. The Doc has built a pretty solid reputation, the best I know of. I've heard more about his site and service than any other and it's overwhelmingly good. I'm not saying that you didn't have the experience you have reported. Just that mistakes happen and no email response is not usual from the reports I've heard. Did you try the Seedbank forums on ICMag? As far as the Hermie question goes, I'd say that yes, I'd be concerned but all you can do is watch closely, particularly lower buds (that's where mine seem to show first), and be more careful. There comes a time when you have to decide if you are gonna let them grow out or scrap them. I've always let them go but I've only ever grown bag seed (pretty safe to say that they were the result of a hermie) and it's ALL hermied (3 grows). That is till now, the jury is still out but I'm almost to 7wks with my current round from the same seeds and I used a product called "Reverse" from Dutch Masters. I won't know for sure till the end but I may just have my first Sensimilla crop. I will say that my decision was the right one for me because if I'd ripped up every hermie I'd have had no bud. I've learned a lot growing these plants but I do have "real" seeds sprouting right now and hope to be done with "The Hermie Chapter". Keep in mind that they can be very tough to spot and that they may not all show on the same day so separate till you're sure, don't kill on sight. Otherwise you may keep killing till you're down to one and then wish you were growing 4 hermies instead of just one. Didn't mean for this to be so long winded. I feel for you, I wish you luck... I've never bought from the Doc, but they seem to be well liked around here, so that must be worth something. I sent an email to another vendor, also well liked on here, about something on back order. Thet debited my account, and still no beans :5headache: It was the second of two orders. The first one came right through, the second? per the above. I emailed, and like you, no response When you're buying something thats frowned upon, that is the risk we all take. I certainly have NO idea how people get done, order to order, vendor to vendor. Now you see the reson I've not shit the bread for any higher end strains. If the females that you DID get? if they're stable? then just go with it. You could've faired worse. that don't mean it's cool, but what'r we goona' do? they gotch'a, you know? Hope all works out from this point.
Never heard that before... That's the first I've heard that Smarmy, I just got some GHF Cheese seeds... Any personal exp? I guess as always ultimately I'll just have to have my own experience but that's not what I wanted to hear...:angry7:
GHF seeds are usually okay for me... Well only from my personal experince of buying regularly from GHS they have done good for me.Iv also just got the cheese fem seeds Grat:icon_thumleft: I got one from UrBigBuddie cos i gave him some of my GHS fem BIG BANG which was/is a great strain that lots of GKers have ent onto grow also.UBB also bought GHS 'the church' and its ready to harvest.. no hermies so far but i toohad heard the same stories smarmy speaks of prior to my 1st purchase from them... who knows maybe a few growers hermied out their plants/seeds and thought it was the fault of GHS or summit like that.All i know is their strains are kick ass and i ONLY buy fem from them TBH.Good luck with the growotleaf:
