So to prepare for veg stage I moved my plant to a bigger pot, I was very careful to not disturb the roots, I turned the pot upside side down and the whole soil came out intacted in my hand and placed it gently in the other pot and just poured new soil around it. I also added driveway stones at the bottom as a draining system. After I did that I am noticing my plant is drooping quite a bit and am worried I fucked up and killed it. Is this normal during transplanting, what can I do to perk it up again?

    That's normal.

The bigger the plant, the more shock they'll experience. Best to put in final pot asap.

I wouldn't feed it nutes 'till you see it perk-up.

It is the final pot, it's this big ass thick clay pot I had just sitting in my backyard doing nothing. So basically I cant help it just have to wait and see? I cant believe it experienced shock, I was so careful with the plant, I didnt even take it out the old soil, I turned the old pot upside side and slid the soil out which was intact and in the shape of the pot, and gently placed it into the new pot and dumped soil around the sides.

    Roots are sensitive.

Oh man I hope I didn't kill it.

I guess you're right, they are probably sensitive to any vibrations and disturbances.

I hear on another forum from a guy that as the sun hit his newly transplanted plant it began to wilt, someone replied and said to move it into shade until it recovers from shock. Do you think this is something I should do? What else can I do to help it recover? From googling I can see you're right and it is normal for the plant to do this as it recovers from shock.

placing it where it only gets the direct light from sun from around 6am-11am for the first week or so might help if you think it's getting light burn.

I think you're freaking out too much tho. Plants tend to sense a little shock when transplanted regardless of how careful you are. Don't worry until they are dying.

You're learning lesson number one. Patience is a virtue when growing. Every time you do something, anything, unless you see tragic die off or severe damage give your plant 1-3 days to acclimate then judge the reaction. It's probably the single hardest thing every new grower needs to learn.

    cheers,

I'm not freaking out, I just want to make sure I have not done something to damage it and I ask here because in case I did, I can get feedback and act immediately to prevent death or permanent damage. I've grown plants before, but nothing as interesting as marijuana. It's been my favorite thing to grow and it isn't because I get bud at the end. It's a beautiful plant and I feel a connection to it, almost spiritual. I love watching it grow every day and am surprised that bag seed is growing so well and healthy.

    You are freaking-out. Relax.

A few days of indirect sunlight wouldn't hurt.

i agree with them, you are fine. mine droop for about 12 hours when i transplant indoors and real sunlight is much more intense so a day or 2 and they should be perked up looking happy to be in a bigger pot.

Ya may want to consider a product called Plant Sucess. You mix this powdered dirt looking material up with water and dip root/dirt ball into it. It covers the roots in a jelly substance.Gives the plants a boost and no shock at all. I used it every time. I did a small study where i did not dip a few plants. All undipped plants were a lot slower. Major difference.

I was just trying to find this stuff(or something similar) to post a link.

I dont have money that grows on tree to buy a product for every little thing, I realize I have to buy nutes and that's going to be a lot as it is.

But good news it they perked up, though the wind was beating it up quite a bit, when does the bottom of the stem grow to the thickness of the uppstem, seems a bit top heavy and the upper steam is thicker and stronger. I found my plant tilting a lot from the wind. So I put supports behind it.

Relax DW. It's hard, I know but over attention is almost as harmful to your plant as no attention. Take the ball out and use a straw, stick, pencil, bamboo skewer...you get the idea ...and loosely tie it off.

Add more soil to the pot and bury the stem.

    Better yet.

Before I even saw your suggestion that's what I was doing. Doesnt seem like the lower steam is going to get any thicker.

And resinrubber much better avatar :)

How does she look as far as health from the leaves?

A little pale. The new soil has nutes in it so it will green up in a week or 2.

Yeah, but I'm using miracle grow which I heard was a no-no. It was what I had in my backyard from last year's gardening.
