 I had a friend ask me what spectrum is a regular bulb? I told him 2700k I think. Am I right??? I thought I saw some sites that gave that rating but cant find it.

:) Wouldn't think of it. Let me ask you this. In your opinion you think a CFL @ 2700k and 900 Lumens is better than an incandescent @ 3500 and 2050 Lumens???????????? Niether is good but the CFL is better right. The reason I ask is seems 2050 lumens is better but it takes 100 watts to get that LMFAO

the cfl would work better not because of lumens but because of the spectrum. incandescants dont have ANY useful spectrum for a plant...for any plant.

get the cfls man youll do ok with those

you can get 42 watt cfl's at the HD for 9$ each that give out about 2500 lumens. Or you can buy a pack of the 23-26 watters that put out between 1500 and 1700 lumens each..I wouldn't go any smaller than that.
