My ph seems to drift down from 5.8 to 5.3 in a few days. The plants look great but I read somewhere the Ph in a healthy system goes up.What could be causing this ? Would adding epsom salts do this because I noticed it since i've been using it with my GH nutes? P.S. this is an ebb & flow with rockwool cubes in growrocks.Thanks.

army Ph is supposed to go up if anything.. Instead of epson salts pick up some CALMAG by botanicare.

If the ppm/EC rises, and the pH drops in-between rez top offs, then the nute concentration is too strong.

If the concentration drops, and the pH rises in-between rez top off's, then the concentration is too weak.

If the concentration and pH stay fairly stable in-between rez top off's, then everything is just right.

i dont remember where ifound that but i have it in my grownotes. cant verify that either, just in case its wrong. again...it was someone elses post. as in, not my words.

what are u using to adjust ph? and why are you adding epsom salts? not saying its bad or anything, just wondering if u had a reason or just doing it for the hell of it.

I'm adjusting ph with stuff from my local hydro shop. I add epsom because i always seem to have MG deff with out it. I use 1/8 teaspoon per gallon. I use GH nutes. I was thinking about the lucas formula but I heard thats not very good for ebb & flow. i'll look into the calmag. Thanks.
