I am hoping this is a stupid question. Some of my pistol tips are turning brown and withering and I keep fearing it is mold. Maybe, hopefully, this is just the normal reddening I've read about and it just looks different than I thought?

I'm glad I asked. I just had The Doubt in the back of my head. The 'What If'. I agree the pictures don't look as bad as I thought. Under a different light they looked kind of rotten. They feel so moist to the touch it seemed entirely possible. The tent is in a pretty wet basement, so when the mold idea popped it kind of grew legs. I guess I can write it off to paranoia. You are right about reading though. I don't have as much time as I used to. I read a lot when I started up and still do when I have to deal with problems. For now I am ok with being a "good enough" grower, learning from my mistakes. I will search for hairs. Sounds kind of logical when you say it. I've been vaporizing test buds and have first time jitters. Not always the best combination.
those look great. IMHE, mold usually starts at the base of a leaf in the bud or in the densest part near the top of the cola. then you get a grayish spot around it. i'm in full-on mold prevention at the moment. trying to make it to the weekend for harvest.
Yes indeed that looks nice! If you want to see mold and bud rot, go to the thread in "pest and plant problems"..... "Bud rot / Mold?" i posted a few pics of mold right when it starts, or is noticeable.

yeah, ive lost many like that. sux to toss ounces in the trash :icon_confused: u can spray with 5% hydrogen peroxide if u are growing in a mold prone area, and double the windage. those pillar fans are easy to install n dont take up much space, and they're quiet. i like them good lick on the rest of ur growdizzle
